The only way to do that is to give them access as soon as tickets go on sale otherwise you get odd seats or pairs which doesn't help a group of four or five. People will often move seats to accommodate kids but the cup scheme means many seats are already taken. It could have been done on Wednesday night with so few attending but that was pretty much a one-off.Grow the core. More season tickets please. Let family sit together.

I thought it was a cracking 2 nil win. Then walking away from the ground, hanging on updates from people’s phones / radios, brought back distant memories of walking away from Maine Road and trying to find out the final scores of promotion rivals games.
The atmosphere made by the Gala fans (not idiots throwing flares) added to the occasion.
It was a shame the old school Blues stand, South Stand Level 3, was pretty empty but you can’t have it all.

My own theory (and I might be way off the mark) is that a large proportion of City's support fall into two categories:
1/ 55+ and their kids (who were never given a choice)
2/ Young families and supporters born after 2000
The traditional PL support has increased and will continue to increase
However, for completely different reasons both demographics are less interested in midweek matches

Absolutely.I also reflected on our fortnight from hell when we’ve four out of six games and remain competitive in four competitions. Even the shocker against Bodo has a bit more context after they beat Athletico away.

If somebody had said to us in August - by the start of Feb youll be 2nd in the league 4pts off top; in the league cup semi final with a 2-0 1st leg lead and the 2nd leg at home; safely through in the top 8 of the CL so into the last 16 with no playoff round; into the 4th round of the FA Cup and a home tie vs Salford - youd have absolutely snapped their hands off.
2nd Leg at home next week and a chance to get back to a Wembley Cup Final - against a good Newcastle side in what will be a decent game - and the club are charging £30 in large parts of the ground. Im not sure what you can blame them for on that one really. Theyve got a ton wrong but re the Newcastle 2nd leg, Im not sure the pricing is that out of whack. Id wager those crooks at the "hated, adored, not playing abroad" place in Trafford would be charging somewhere near the £50 mark for the same game.
