Seat Counters 25/26

There are lots of twists and turns to come in this one, Chappie. Don’t you worry about that. It’s only just begun.

tomorrow is the day to get strapped in, the 1pm window will be like the wild west, then we will have a few snapped up on friday, then it will be the long game for the remaining seats (level 2), i think it's time we ruled flapjack out of the equation he has become the lord lucan of this seat count

Could someone possibly tell me which blocks in level 5 have safe standing ? I don't qualify until 1pm tomorrow and it's gonna be a bun fight i suspect , want to sing my heart out as always , have previous experience of being told to sit down and shut up , up there !

For Your Information: Galatasaray Post Match Overview from City Matters minutes.

"The Club provided a detailed overview of the ticketing, safety and operational approach for the UEFA Champions League fixture against Galatasaray, which was classified as high-risk following consultation with Greater Manchester Police, UEFA and other partners. Stringent ticketing criteria were implemented across general admission, hospitality and official resellers to minimise the risk of away supporters in home areas, with safety prioritised over ticket sales. Post match, the Club investigated where away fans in home areas sourced their tickets. 85% were found to have come from qualifying Cityzens Matchday Members, 12% from Season Ticket Members and 3% from UEFA’s allocation. On closer investigation, of these source accounts, the Club was able to identify and suspend 253 accounts for misuse of the tickets purchased. Additional measures included ID-based ticket collection, heightened ticketing criteria and enhanced communications to ticket buyers regarding responsibility for ticket use. While these measures reduced the pool of eligible buyers, the Club emphasised that fan safety remained the top priority. Matchday operations included increased police and steward presence and dedicated quick response teams. All incidents were managed in line with agreed protocols with impacts minimised where possible.

As well as outlining the positive steps taken to reduce the risk of away fans in home areas, and the way the Club dealt with those that managed to access these areas, the Club highlighted that misconceptions have influenced opinions. The Club showed a number of social media posts where fans were accused of being away supporters simply because of their appearance or religion. City Matters representatives thanked the Club for its clear focus on fan safety and for reinforcing the importance of ensuring all supporters and staff feel safe, welcome, and respected at matches

I don't think there will be much time for seat counting in that 1pm window tomorrow....I'm more worried about actually getting a ticket at this rate!

They really have no shame - where’s the explanation of no searches on away fans enabling them to get in the ground with flares - no acknowledgement of the lack of security /police in the segregation line , Level 3 South Stand 314/5/6 we were sitting ducks all night - the club were lucky that Galatasary didn’t score that would have hilighted how many were in our end - City Matters thanked them - WTF

FAO Seat counters in respect of numbers of season ticket and Cityzens:

As of last season 37,000 Season Ticket Members and 140,000 Cityzens Official Members.

And wrt to non-attendance of the CL games by seasoncard holders, for 2024-25 Champions League: The number which attend game by game is generally up to 25,000 of which we typically see 3,500 transferred to friends and family. There are 20,700 Season Ticket Members on the UEFA Cup Scheme.

So they are saying no club resellers sold to Galatasaray fans ? It’s beyond laughable

Exactly.

A Blue Wash.

GMP and stewards standing next to the Gala fans on SSL3 whilst they were letting flares off, waving flares, and one idiot Gala fan throwing a flare who was later arrested. Hundreds of Gala fans in the home ends. Thankfully Gala didn’t score otherwise there could have been trouble. Very disappointed in City Matters thanking the club for that apparent well run operation.

Did the club not see the amount of Gala fans in the home ends and their mobile phone lights waving all over the Etihad. It’s like of those government reports that absolves ministers and the government of any wrong doing.
