To be honest, I’d expect a fair chunk more than 3000 to have sold if you’ve had a 45 minute wait to get in. Definitely an odd one as it was a genuinely big queue this time.
 
168 left for Real. I guess there will be a few no shows who have tickets but there always is. The game will be sold out early tomorrow.

Yes. This was right at the point her 2 lads got taken on at academy level (not city), so their weekends and some midweeks are busy now and she thought City were taking the piss forcing them to buy a Membership for them to go a couple of times a season at most. So they have been back since! I know they're not the best fans in the world but the 2 lads especially were City mad and now they watch on the TV because of this. How can that be in the clubs long term good? They cant be on their own either.

As you say it's shameless, and a few other adjectives too!!

i think i have solved another mystery when it comes to seat counting, having exposed the wembley algorithm, something far more sinister is at play, we have a queue algorithm, 22000 in the queue, i think we need to start dividing it by about 5, with a queue fear factor at play

Just for info, when the junior memberships were reduced to £5 in January and February, they were effectively free due to discounts on match tickets prices etc.

I think you’re totally right about this. The queue is basically bullshit to make sure people don’t log off. They make sure the number is higher than the tickets available.

Wouldn't that have more people logging off then , if there was say 10,000 tickets available and you were 12,000 in the queue you'd be under the impression you'd miss out and log off

Interesting points of view from both Didders and yourself, could see it both ways. I guess re your point, people logging on don’t know that ‘tickets available number’ though do they (?)

No because most people are not seat counters. Maybe I should have phrased that differently. They set the queue at a figure that looks like the event could sell out to this queue, making sure you panic and don’t risk missing out. Once people are in a queue psychologically they don’t really want to leave it. It’s basic sales psychology, creating a FOMO.

Yes pal, its very wrong. Alienating our older fanbase whilst totally ignoring our local young fan base. Very dangerous. Grab a few bucks here n there right now, whilst fucking up our future fanbase.

Tickets are emailed for this so anyone can use it but to buy the ticket you need to use the ID of a member who has been to an FA Cup game. I think from tomorrow any member can buy one and then I presume they’ll allow season ticket holders to buy an extra one.
