You brought back a very bad memory , Lincoln away. Me and two mates booked theIt used to be a badge of honour getting to Lincoln on a Tuesday night. You had to beg, steal, borrow, jib in, use touts, to get away ticket for the big games. I lost count of the number of games I went in home ends. You just did what you had to do.

I thought it would be a bonus the way people talk about the tramsFortunately, there are 2 Match Day buses from Timperley and Altrincham.
Also an hourly train services from Altrincham or Navigation Road to Piccadilly, that us unaffected, for a 25 minute walk using one of the several walking routes to the ground.
There will be Tram replacement buses too I expect.
No trams is no reason not to go, as you say it would be used as an excuse.

Yes I had a couple of friends who brought their 7 year old lad to the earlier cup games. Gutted that they couldn't get tickets for this one. I started the season with my membership and got my eldest a membership. My card has 4500 points. We went to buy Leeds tix, but his membership didn't have 3 PL games the previous season, so we went to Everton game instead. A week or so before Leeds, City moved the goalposts and did away with the 3 game rule. Highly frustrating.Yes I had a couple of friends who brought their 7 year old lad to the earlier cup games. A few people will be in the same boat where for Liverpool, you have the adult with the points, wanting to take a kid (who has a paid membership) but the criteria doesn't even go down to their level. It's going to SC members to buy EXTRAS before a member can buy one. I understand if AFTER a decent window of members it should go to SC before open sale, but when a parent is paying £15-20 a junior membership and not even getting a go it's a bit unfair. It's not like the remaining tickets are family stand either, they are more expensive sides.

Tested it out on the site and not happening. I know a ST holder and I'll probably have to ask a favour, but when you wait patiently for a turn having spent the money on a membership it's a bit annoying. YOure the perfect example of where they keep getting it wrong, going slowly down the criteria. I bet there are thousands of families in mismatched criteria situations like yours.
