I always think it would a good trip to Wembley be for all those who miss out on tickets for the finals we get to, to boost the crowd. But it’s never the case with us anymore.

We have more ST holders than we get allocations for finals at Wembley, never mind all our members.

It doesn’t bother me anymore like it used to the first few semis it happened at, as I think taking 25k to an away trip is still decent and I can see why many save it for the final to keep Wembley special for the final and/or they can only afford one trip and not both. But it does often pop into my mind… why do so many who miss out on the finals not go to the semis?

No but certainly bored of wembley semi-finals. It's interesting though. The league cup and fa cup whether we like it or not do not define our season anymore. We could win both and without the league or champions league to accompany it outside voices would describe it as an average season. I'm not excited by winning them as much as i would have been 10-15 years ago. That's what this level of success does i guess. My teenage self in the 90s would not be able to process it.

A domestic cup double would not be an average season at all, fuck what the media say. A trophy is a trophy. We are what we are now, a global successful club but without the fan base of United and Liverpool who, as much as it pains me to say it, would probably be the only 2 teams to sell out Wembley every time they got there. 31 times in 15 years is unprecedented, and I’d hazard a guess that every ST holder has probably been at least 10 times. But the team needs our support everywhere we play as proven by our away support which is second to none.

I’m one of the 100K plus or whatever it is who are Citizens members rather than SC holder. I always go to the fa cup semi finals, the most obvious reason being I am unlikely to be able to secure more than one ticket for an FA Cup final, which I’m not overly keen to go to on my own.
So for the semi final we embrace it, make a 3 day weekend of it in London, do other stuff too, and treat it as a small holiday. I appreciate it’s only me, but I actually look forward to semi final weekend in London - especially on a Saturday- in some ways more than finals. Have got 4 tickets in total for friends & family, and can’t wait tbh.

Long story short, tldr etc, I agree with you and am surprised more Citizen members don’t do same as you suggest.

I’m giving this a miss, along with my son, can’t make the final as on holiday ( bad planning).
If we reach the final, my son will go, but, letting him use my season ticket for a mate of his to go, seems a real ball ache.
Why is it so fookin troublesome ffs.

It’s only troublesome if you go so enjoy your holiday and stop whinging.
 
What's the chances of more cheap tickets being released, don't fancy paying £40 plus.

Winning is all that matters.
The history books won't read City reached the FA cup final with some empty seats. CTID
