Seat Counters 25/26

I may be off on the stats, but I had a mooch around and it seems we have approx 36K ST holders and 100K match day members. Let's assume we sell 25K, that means 82% of the fan base, for whatever reason, are not going. The other 3 clubs will sell out, we know the reasons why. There are so many reasons for our turn out. However as there are thousands of the cheaper tickets unsold it can't be the cost of the game. It has to be Wembley fatigue, not the stadium, but the whole day experience, plus people hedging for the final. Our first semi there v rags was so exciting, people busted a gut to get there now it really has become an imposition. What we need is a around 10K southern blues to take up the slack, but that ain't happening is it....
It's definitely Wembley fatigue. The cost is secondary imo.

For most Mancs, £114 rail fare is a significant cost, and then there's the ticket cost. How many times a season can you afford to do that? The answer depends on your personal circumstances. Perhaps you go down by bus and do it cheaper but if you do that, you'll make it back at around 2am.

City's support is as good as ever, you just have to think a little and have some empathy.

Shut up you nob

If that was the case, why did the league cup final sell out so quickly?

the level of opposition has a lot to do with it, especially as most expect us to reach the final.
Wembley fatigue.. haha..ffs...ive supported City 50 years..entitled twats...not necessarily you..but come on...i will always do EVERYTHING..to make sure im there to support the team i love..a previous poster seemed to make mw a "nob"..lol...

A final is a different proposition with the potential to see a trophy being lifted.
But actually the league cup final didn't sell quickly and went all the way down the criteria. Only a third of season ticket holders bought a ticket and there were about 10k tickets left for members to buy. Thankfully they picked up the slack.

It doesn't have the same novelty when we've been 30+ times in the last 15 years but out of the 3 times we could possibly attend this season, this is the fixture that is the least appealing & then you add in a shit kick off time, London marathon & expensive train fare, I dont blame fans giving it a miss.

Travelling regularly to home games from Southampton this is easier for me to get to. Its nice meeting fellow City fans but at the end of the day I couldn't care less how many fans are there

So its nothing to do with Wembley fatigue then

affected blues deeply, and one day it could be something that affects you or me. I would hope that if that day comes then others would raise their voices and stick up for us, rather than not bothering because it doesn't affect them.
This is the second post of yours I've read in the last five minutes, both are defending normal, everyday, match going Blues.
Why should you need to do that ? I'm not having a go, I'm asking why are Blues attacking other Blues who have chosen not to go ?
The points you have raised are very valid, I could add another half dozen, but I won't.

Perhaps those that are moaning are frightened of 'LoyalRed' or 'MIB Steve' and other internet warriors bullying them.

I said it earlier but fuck me, some of our fans are just weird

If we had the same 5000 we had at Newcastle in the league cup turn up vs s’ton it would be enough, we were very very good , the team will do the rest

the regulars will be there, it doesn't matter where the ground is, the support stays the same
Did you read my post?
Even for the league cup final two thirds of all season ticket holders didn't bother.
8 semi finals in a row. 31 visits to Wembley in 15 years. It’s not rocket science why we're not selling out next week.

I read people are not going because they couldn’t afford another trip to Wembley, yet 24000 season ticket holders didn’t even go the other week so that blows that theory out of the water

Cheaper tickets aren't unsold, the remaining ones aren't available.

I was lucky securing 2 today but have been checking for 3 days and there were none available until today
