Seat Counters 25/26

@bluesmith the above is what I get, and my mate when we look at the official page.
I can now see, if I look further onto the site, the page you are posting but the first page seems to indicate non ST holders can't buy.
Assumimg you mean the bolded part, you are misreading it, all that is saying is at the start of the criteria season ticket holders could buy for u18s before they are eligible.

It's their fifth game at Wembley in the last decade. Fourth visit for the fans as one of the five was behind closed doors.

2016-17 League Cup final
2017-18 FA Cup SF
2020-21 FA Cup SF
2023-24 Playoff final
2025-26 FA Cup SF
Think this will be Citys 24th visit in the same ten year period.
No club in England can match that number over ten years.

In 2006 and 2007 we went out of the FA Cup in the quarter finals to West Ham and Blackburn. I was bitterly disappointed at us falling at the last hurdle and missing out on a trip to Wembley. In 2010, I went to Old Trafford and watched us narrowly beaten in the second leg of the League Cup semi-final - yet another massive disappointment. I thought at that time, I might never get to see the mighty Blues play at Wembley, let alone win a trophy.

16 years later, I have been to Wembley 19 times and seen us win 7 cups. Those trips have given me so many brilliant memories that will stay with me and my kids forever - YaYa's goals, beating United (twice!), Nico's double. I fully understand why many fans either can't attend or don't want to attend. But all our circumstances are different and for me, I love going to Wembley to watch my team play there. Maybe it is the kid in me, but I still get excited about a trip to Wembley and I am really looking forward to the Southampton game.

Come on you Blues.

Just sell to anyone next, surely? Might be a few blues down south who have never been before and might fancy their first game.
I can't see that being a big number and not going to happen - particularly with Southampton already selling out

Not misreading it..... just being thick :-)
Cheers for clarifying it for me (and my mate)

I have been going 63 years,
I just cannot remember the Club owners rolling out a red carpet for me in the first 50 years of those.
Now I have a great view, a wonderful team to watch, the best Coach in the World. Far from the most expensive tickets. A Campus that will be World Class by next season.
The only small thing that disappoints me is the atmosphere. And on occasions, that is also good.

My advice to some is;

"Don't let the Old Man in "
Wise words. Negativity spreads like a disease. Our fans have mostly been great this season, especially away from home. The moaners are entitled to their views but they are not a majority.

well said mate if can’t afford it fair enough as it's been said on here you never know if it's your last visit 1981 to 2011 was a long wait come on CITY

Right, Seat Counting. Currently we have:

L1: 3,236
L2: 436
L5: 2,416

Total Left: 6,088 (+ Aprrox 5,500 - 6,500)

Another 450 sold since my lunchtime count meaning about 900 have sold in total today.

This puts us on about 21,500 sold.
We have more than enough fans to sell out. Wembley is Wembley.

Are there another 6000 that have never been on sale?

I did the league cup final and I’ve done pretty much every semi final so far - including Sheffield United.

I can’t afford this one or justify the cost/ time of travelling to London again
Fair enough. Very few can do them all. I don’t get all this panic from some posters. It’s a free country..just about. I have had major health issues in recent years and am making up for lost time. Everyone has different stages in their life when the football comes second. This season I have really noticed the increase in younger fans and that’s very positive for the future.

Let’s be real — the chance of three Wembley games has over stretched our fan base, whatever way you dress it up…

22 March – 36K
25 April – 33K
16 May – 31K (If we beat Soton)

That’s basically 100K tickets across a short spell. If we make the final, that 31K sells out no problem — no debate.
Looks like we’ll shift around 90K overall, which is still a very solid turnout. And let’s not forget, we’ve had plenty of non-Wembley games to cover too.
No need to turn on each other over it. The reality is we’ve still got room to grow the fan base to match what the team’s doing on the pitch.

I may be off on the stats, but I had a mooch around and it seems we have approx 36K ST holders and 100K match day members. Let's assume we sell 25K, that means 82% of the fan base, for whatever reason, are not going. The other 3 clubs will sell out, we know the reasons why. There are so many reasons for our turn out. However as there are thousands of the cheaper tickets unsold it can't be the cost of the game. It has to be Wembley fatigue, not the stadium, but the whole day experience, plus people hedging for the final. Our first semi there v rags was so exciting, people busted a gut to get there now it really has become an imposition. What we need is an around 10K southern blues to take up the slack, but that ain't happening is it....
Some good points there but that ‘hedging for the final’ is an odd one in the sense that ok a few may do that, but out of the 136K supporters you’ve referenced only what, a few thousand? - let’s say 10K to be generous - might be Season Card holders who are doing that.
But doesn’t that still leave tens of thousands of others, who must know realistically they are unlikely to get a ticket for the final by any regular/affordable route, choosing not to go to this?

I’m not 100% sure of the reasons, but like many others think it’s a combination of things. The relative lack of notice of availability for supports to buy in the last few days, so close to KO, with attached costs, is definitely one factor I think.

But also agree that it is what it is, doesn’t really need an enormous post-mortem (though I realise my post is exactly contributing to that!) and those of us who are going just need to have a great time of it and support the lads to the full. Which we will :-)

Let’s face it, the only people who care about empty seats are the ones who follow their team from the sofa. Fuck em.
We aren’t as big as a Liverpool or United but we don’t claim to be either…we’ll stick to being better.
I’ll be there next weekend and I’ll have a blast whether there’s 30k blues or 10k blues

Not as rare as you might think. Southampton are in the top ten when it comes to most appearances at the new Wembley. This will be their sixth visit, more than quite a few ‘bigger’ clubs.
Got to admit Alfie
Excuse my ignorance
I didn’t realise they had been that many times obviously am stuck in my premier league bubble.

No worries.

I was shocked by some of the numbers myself when I did the research into the most appearances at Wembley thread. There are a few lower division clubs who’ve played in multiple playoff and EFL Trophy finals so have clocked up more Wembley trip than you’d realise!

Who cares about seats?

I don’t give a fuck and never have.

Tickets are no longer affordable to all like they were in the past.
