I just picked my train tickets up for the semi and return is valid to 24th May so if we win the semi could I use my return for the final?

True both of these. Took junior on 1 of my 2 previous trips, and the cost of add-ons was eye-watering. For a semi-final too, knowing I couldn’t afford the final for both of us, and knowing I’d be a selfish sod if I went on my own.

Like I say, everyone has their reasons. But when it comes to caring what our fans get called by the media and by other fans, I’m all out of monkeys to give.

Club coaches would help. Not the vibe for your 30K points home-and-awayer, but the club clearly know who they want to sell to because of how they’ve done the release and allocation. Expecting hundreds of families to make their own way there and pay London prices for a Special Day when it’s not even the Final is rather short-sighted.
£140 plus food and drink costs is actually pretty expensive for quite a lot of people, including me.

That doesn’t include if you’re paying for a kid or family member either.
I hope you enjoy your trip and a great day.

However the £40 ticket and £100 on the train is looking through the lens of the cost for one person.

It is dear for a family of 4 for a semi final especially if we win then have to shell out for the final.

Alot of back and forth on here about why you should or shouldnt go is it apathy or clubs fault or whatever but main thing is the seats sold not seen a update for pages so what we sold now about 21k?

More than that. It was over 21,500 this morning I think. Should be over 22,000 by the end of today.

Hopefully there’s a big pick up going into next week after a win tomorrow.

There's 3 of us go every Wembley trip.
Before a ball was kicked this season all 3 of us predicted third in premier league.
Quarter's or semis champions league.
And hopefully a trip to Wembley.
My grandson aged 16 knows nothing but Wembley every season. Me and my son know it could be 30 years before were back again.
Highlight of our season should never be took for granted.
Wembley Wembley
Were the famous Man City
And were back at Wembley.

I don’t think the club care how many fans we take to Wembley because they don’t make any money out of it. The days of free coaches at the clubs cost are long gone with this club.

Liverpool give priority to those who attend cup games, if the semi final carried some reward to final tickets I guarantee loads more would sell, and so they should
Are you deliberately obtuse or do you not read what people post.
I repeat.
The group of season ticket holders around me are all on the cup schemes and attend the home matches they do not go to any semi or cup finals.
Judging by the uptake of season ticket holders not purchasing for this and previous Wembley matches it appears that this is widespread across this group.
As a rough estimate there are 15/20000 people on the cup scheme and for this match approx 75% of them are not going.
They have priority now and choose not to go.
What other inducement can you offer them

We have a cup scheme tho which I’m on, I’ve done all the previous rounds but not doing the semi final

I wouldn't have the closed shop of cup schemers being guaranteed a final ticket, it would give them an advantage but not a guarantee, I would base it on home games attended in the cup plus the semi final, but cup scheme gets first dibs on if they have done say 4 games, then it would be 4 non cup scheme, then 3 cup scheme and so on

Sorry if already been said, the amount of times City have been there in such a short space of time is totally unprecedented so it’s ok for other clubs fans to talk about how they’d always fill it, we will never know.

We probably have a hardcore of approx 40k fans these days, so it’s a big ask for basically 30k of that to turn up at Wembley twice a year. Money is one thing and if you can’t afford it you can’t afford it, novelty is another, it wore of for me quickly, this visit I think will be my 32nd. Throw in (and I mean no disrespect) opposition that we shouldn’t have to get out of 2nd gear for, and there’s not that much appeal for it.

Only weeks ago we filled it for the Arsenal game. It’s round the corner for a lot of teams but 200 mile for us, add in shit kick off times and Sundays and guess what, even more people can’t be arsed. We all know the club have been pissing off our own season ticket holders the last couple of years so there’s another reason people aren’t breaking their necks for a semi.

They shouldn’t be at Wembley anyway, there’s people who will go to the semi but no fine well they can’t get a final ticket because we then get a reduced allocation for it. That’s another reason some won’t bother.

I’ll be there begrudgingly again haha, but I do like to have a good moan. I hope we do sell more but won’t be losing any sleep over it. We aren’t the global powerhouse our club seem to think we are so maybe they will put a bit more effort in to pleasing match going fans again from next season.

This pointless discussion comes around every single time we're in a semi final at Wembley. Before every season the rules are very simple. Join the cup scheme and you have first priority for finals if we get there. The club then charge you for every game we are drawn at home in the run up to that final, whether you attend or not. A lot will happily take the hit for the chance of a final ticket. Empty seats for those that chose not to bother, with say Salford at home, are the fault of City matters and the club, who decided they couldn't be put up for resale for some misguided idea people would attend as they'd paid their money. Many didn't.
Why don't people just join the cup scheme? It's free and you only pay for the games we are drawn at home. Simple really. If we're drawn at home every round it's four games. If we're drawn away you pay nothing.
All this putting extra hoops for people to jump through is just a nonsense. Join the cup scheme. Football isn't the most important thing in everybody's life and its only a few weeks ago many forked out a few hundred quid to go the the Caribou cup final. If we beat Southampton they'll have to do it again for another final, with the added cost of the semi final if they choose to go. A lot of people just haven't got the money. Also where are all the members ( An estimated 100,000? ) who could now go and watch us play at Wembley? Why aren't they snapping up tickets now they can?
The system is fine as it is.

Here come the people who just want to argue. In terms of global fans we aren’t there yet, that’s why we are struggling to shift seats for home games at the minute. That’s why we can’t sell Wembley out for a semi final in the capital.

It’s not a criticism, we have a great core support and I’m proud of it.

That's my feelings on the subject. The first time i thought we could be was when we sold out the charity shield game ( I think ). that many were boycotting. The newcomers and tourist's took up the slack, although regular goers and the players were disappointed with the lack of atmosphere.
That interest seems to have waned again amongst our newly acquired fans.

Yes I boycotted that haha, couldn’t believe how quickly it sold out. Like you say demand has waned since.
