Wembley itself is either an expensive booze cruise or a shit day out.Yes I boycotted that haha, couldn’t believe how quickly it sold out. Like you say demand has waned since.
Yep I live down in Kent now and play for an over 45's vets football team and there are about 8 United fans and 8 Liverpool fans, (only one is an actual Scouser and there are no Mancs), they even out number the Arsenal and Spurs fans...just a small example of the bigger picture in this countryScandinavia & Ireland isn't that important to Utd & Liverpool attendances.
It's UK based fans in every town and city across the entire country. Plus, of course, them both having huge local support as well across the entire north west & into Yorkshire.

Especially those with kids, go once and it's ticked off, apart from watching City it's a long day and big commitment unless you're living in London.
Having semis at Wembley is shit and devalues an already devalued competition.
I know a Leeds ST holder who has given his ticket away for their semi, he doesn’t see the point of travelling all that way and best case scenario is do it all again a few weeks later.
My first visit was the 81 Replay and even though we lost it was one of the best days ever, the trip, the atmosphere, everything. My last few trips to Wembley have been meh.
Leeds to Wembley in 90 minutes, really? Is that via helicopter. So a first semi final for God knows how many years and he can't be bothered a 90 minute train journey.
And your semi finals are MEH,
Sounds like you and your Leeds mate are a match.

Leeds fans were desperate for tickets for their semi final. Fans offering to pay way over the top for tickets. Some fans are angry that members who had attended zero games had the chance in a ballot for tickets. Anyone giving away their ticket will be in a tiny minority. So a first semi final for God knows how many years and he can't be bothered a 90 minute train journey.

If you want to be a sucker and fill the FA’s coffers then that’s up to you.
That Charity Shield game was in the Summer holidays. Lots of people holidaying in UK, visiting London and an opportunity to take in a ‘Cup Final’ (Not) undoubtedly picked up some of the slack. Full families of people that didn’t have a clue about many of the songs, the most un football atmosphere I’ve ever seen. That's my feelings on the subject. The first time i thought we could be was when we sold out the charity shield game ( I think ). that many were boycotting. The newcomers and tourist's took up the slack, although regular goers and the players were disappointed with the lack of atmosphere.
That interest seems to have waned again amongst our newly acquired fans.
Me too.I am just happy you will not be there.
