If they were sofa tickets they'd be everywhere but they are only in today's blocks, which suggests to me they were in people baskets for whatever reason. Maybe people holding them while refreshing to see if cheaper ones pop up.

Booked my flight and hotel last year, knowing no FA Cup final then I'd try to get Bournemouth away. So I'm all in, no matter what the price :O ..... might sit there for 10-15 mins pressing refresh in case a cheaper one pops up, but if not, it's 250+ and a few hours outside of Kings Cross to try and get the ticket paid for !

I have not the requisite skills to become a seat counter. But I love it purely as an armchair fan. To watch such athletes at the top of of their game , making seat counting look effortless is a joy.

I wonder whether those in the ticket office are aware of this thread. I don't think they realise how good they've got it in there. People taking hours out of their day voluntarily to crunch the numbers purely for their love and passion of seat counting and Manchester City Football Club.

It's no wonder there is so much resentment towards the ticket office. Not taking sufficient pride in their work whilst others are selflessly putting their bodies on the line for nothing.

I`m sure the whole of block 501 became available this morning, suspect city asked for the allocation, and Chelsea is struggling to sell ?

this is mis information and is not isolated to City, Chelsea's allocation has increased but not as much as City's which means there has been a greater take up of tickets in the Chelsea end from the affiliated clubs.

Chelsea's has increased to over 30k now too. All this means is that theres been more FA returns in our end than in theirs. Remember Stoke in 2011 claiming they would have more fans at the game because theyd had more FA returns. What it means in reality is county FAs and the like have taken up more tickets in the Chelsea side than ours. Stadium will still be pretty much split 50-50

More likely these were held by the club for familys/friends/hangers on and have been returned. West side usually has 501 anyway as the split is never right down the middle due to where the entrance tunnels are for each block. Youll see on the bottom tier on the TV camera side, the East side allocation overlaps past the halfway line due to the same principle.
