Seat Counters 25/26

To be fair there were plenty of patches of empty seats in the Chelsea end as well.
I watched it in a bar in Albufeira - it was our annual lads holiday that we booked last July but due to a schoolboy error, I never checked when the FA Cup Final would be when we booked it (although I was seriously contemplating flying in for it from Faro to Stansted on Saturday morning then back to Faro on Saturday night!) - and me and a mate were talking about the empties in both ends. I pointed out that both clubs sold their initial allocation and the extra allocation that they received so it was hardly the fault of either set of fans because they bought all the tickets that were allocated to them. My mate went on to say that it wouldn't surprise him if City got the blame for the empty seats at both ends of stadium!

Plenty of seats suddenly available for the Villa game. 50 at a guess.
Plenty? I'd say 50 is about the usual ticket exchange churn.

I mean, you wouldn't be attempting to suggest that a veritable avalanche of tickets have suddenly appeared after last night's draw, would you?

Breaking News:

"City fans turn their backs on Pep as 0.001% of ticket capacity floods the market"

Dunno. There weren't many tickets available at the second release and they disappeared PDQ. Most of the time since then it's been sold out. My experience of scrabbling for returns is that there is only ever a few at any one time and you have to be quick off the mark (and not picky) to get them. So, I think it is unusual for there to be this many available at this stage.

Seat exchance tickets always accelerate massively in the week of a game. By simple laws of probability, there are always going to be, I don't know, several thousand who can't make it for many many reasons.

is it dependent upon actual attendance tonight, not tickets sold?
The club say that,

"The remaining 50% of general admission tickets within the expanded North Stand for Sunday’s match vs Aston Villa will go on sale the afternoon of Thursday, 21 May 2026 (exact timing to be confirmed). This is subject to the successful completion of Wednesday evening’s test event."

I am wondering if we can sell them in the limited time remaining.

"successful completion " is quite vague isn't it? can't help but get the feeling that it's still contingent on bodies. I'd be interested in seeing any coverage of attendance tonight after the last two days of depressing news
