Seat Counters 25/26

Maybe Pep isn't leaving after all?

But if Pep is leaving, and the NSL2 isn't full, the club are to blame for £56 Adult ticket prices

To think the club would put £56 Adult ticket prices above a full Etihad for Pep's final home game.

Let's wait and see.

What price were the first 3.5k that sold out?

Thought I'd be struggling to buy one for the new North Stand level 3 at 15.45 today. Absolutely loads left

1849 left now so they are selling briskly still. I expect them all to go today/tonight. Obviously, if we were still in with a shout of the title they'd have sold even quicker
Scratch that - they appeared to be flying out the door earlier but I see the number of available seats has shot up! Not sure if it’s our friend the algorithm or something else.

While the queue number was a false figure earlier, it still took me about 20 minutes to get in which would suggest loads more fans were intending to buy than number of seats sold. Perhaps some of them didn’t realise that they didn’t qualify for a ticket.

Presumably this is a category A game. That made a bit more sense when the first half of tickets went on sale and it could have still been a title decider...

They need to push this on the socials and open sales out to anyone first thing in the morning. Would be absolutely great to have a full house for such a significant game. There will be a party/end of terms type atmosphere amongst both clubs. It could actually be a shit game for that reason.

A 55,000+ attendance will be City's biggest home crowd since the 3-3 v United in 71-72.

So why all the negativity when it's probably in our interests to have a few empty seats?
That way the club might revise their price structure for next season, especially for the less attractive winter midweek games.
We’re saying goodbye to the club’s greatest ever servant and they’ve once again failed to get pricing right, so the new stand will be half empty.

If you don’t think that’s a negative then I can’t help you.

I hadn’t bought a ticket for this game previously. I too want to say goodbye to our greatest ever servant and since the recent announcements, I’ve made a decision I’m gonna come over to Manchester to do that on Monday afternoon rather than Sunday afternoon. Maybe for those ticket sales “at the margins” there are others doing similar if they live out of town (?) Could be just me of course!

Because it will be the biggest cock up in the history of winning cups for cock ups that we have very good experience of winning. You can not open a £300M new stand and show thousands of empty seats on the last day of the season when some of our legends are leaving. The negativity around that for the rest of the summer would be appalling.

Behave mate. This game needs to be sold out. We’re sending off 2 legendary players and probably Pep too. If you think 3k empty seats in a newly opened stand which will probably be named after Pep is OK then I can’t help.

Absolutely correct.

It beggars belief that our directors who are supposed to be intelligent, savvy , clued up business people, decided to price ALL adult tickets at £56. The priority wasn’t to make a few extra quid on the final day of the season, Pep’s possible last ever managerial game for City at the Etihad, the priority was to fill the Etihad to it’s new 62,000 capacity, so as many City fans as possible could say goodbye to Pep. Khaldoon is as much to blame. He should have told Soriano and the other directors to fill NSL2 and the Etihad as the priority, and not to fuck about with making a few extra quid. This shit will carry on next season with 1000’s of empty seats across the ground for most of the home games.

Sales are at an absolute stand still. We get enough bad publicity when we don't sell out Wembley, but this will be a whole new level if we've got 3,000 empty seats in the Grand Opening of our new stand.

The club need to act fast here. I'd honestly consider selling the rest at £30 and refunding the £26 difference to anyone who purchased today.
