Seat Counters 25/26

Sales are at an absolute stand still. We get enough bad publicity when we don't sell out Wembley, but this will be a whole new level if we've got 3,000 empty seats in the Grand Opening of our new stand.

The club need to act fast here. I'd honestly consider selling the rest at £30 and refunding the £26 difference to anyone who purchased today.

I’m sure they will give a load away but this just shows the apathy at the moment.

2358 tickets left for the Coop Live Event as well. 1069 standing.

They have also slowed to a trickle.

Times are hard. £56 is a lot for a dead rubber. If the league was still on would have sold out immediately. Bad planning by the club.
The club didn’t have to price the tickets at £56. The club know times are hard as well. The tickets should have been £30, like the away tickets on SSL3 when they are sold to City fans.

A 55,000+ attendance will be City's biggest home crowd since the 3-3 v United in 71-72.

So why all the negativity when it's probably in our interests to have a few empty seats?
That way the club might revise their price structure for next season, especially for the less attractive winter midweek games.
That 3-3 was my first derby and remains the official biggest crowd I've been in at a home City game.

Charlton was possibly pretty close but with PJS clicking fans in who knows.

I have a strange feeling that whatever gets said at the normal press conference tomorrow could then help sales along.

The most frustrating thing is the club don't care if it sells out instantly or if it sells out on Sunday morning, how can the club that does so many things right still do so many things wrong

Talking of Scotland , got in after the match on Wednesday and was watching the highlights of the Rangers game on sky sports news ,
The caption at the start had the attendance on as being 50,000 + !

If there was 30000 there I would be making it up !
Not having a go a Rangers , I’m sure the empties were season tickets holders who no showed now they are out of the title race , but compare that to the shit we get for a couple of thousand at most who was missing at our game for probably similar reasons ?

It’s the only stick they the media have got left to beat us with and tbf it’s not even true !

The crowd against palace I thought was decent , u always get empties at night games from season card holders who cannot make it all the time ?
It was like the City match at Arsenal, a few days after they were pumped in the League Cup Final. The attendance was reported at 60,000 or so. I reckon it was 20,000 to 30,000 at most.

How many tickets went on sale for the Co-Op Live event? That venue normally holds over 20,000 but I’m guessing capacity is a bit lower for this one?
It is as the stage has been extended and eats into the standing floor space.

I did a count shortly after they went on sale and there was just over 10k available, most blocks were pretty full, there's was about 2700 standing in that 10k. They could increase the standing numbers though as the floor holds sigificantly more than went on sale.

It’s all about making money though. You could say why are they charging fans for the co op event? (When essentially every other event has been free)

Bring back the days of shinawatra outside Manchester town hall! Free food as well

Agreed. The Tarquins are blowing themselves off because half a dozen turned up in Islington the other night. Total fakes. Never came to Maine Road. Chelsea, Sours and West Ham did.

The club won't be making any money on the ticket sales at the co-op event... Apart from on the daft hospitality seats... The venue will have a hire fee, staff to pay, production costs, security costs which will come off top line of sales.

Theres a difference between the pre-match things which might get 500 - 1000 people in, compared to a full venue

If the co op event isn't selling, imagine how empty the streets in the 2+ miles from town to the stadium will be.
Think the whole thing is going to be a fuck up.
