ha you could be right!....the ticket exchange that have been coming do seem to be getting snapped up really quickly, I just saw 24 tickets appear in 304 and they are gone already

The marketing department could do a better job as well.

Emails should be going out:

‘Be part of Manchester City history - the first ever game of the new north stand!’.

‘A farewell to City legends - John Stones and Bernardo Silva - BE THERE!’

It doesn’t help they’ve not announced Pep’s final game.

‘Tickets for Pep’s final game on sale now!!’

If A fan does not know it is Peps last game or that Stones and Silva are leaving or that the tickets available are in the new North Stand, then I doubt that they would be be able to find East Manchester or know which day to set off.

If you have a membership that’s expired and you renew it won’t let you buy tickets for the Villa game. They really don’t help themselves shifting tickets do they?

Well then don't blame the fans when the club price them out by attempting to maximising revenue.

The long term reputational damage that could do to us will cost us far more than the extra revenue from this game., so it doesn't even make sense from a business perspective.

Such short term thinking to risk having a half empty stand for the grand opening of the new stand, just to make an extra few pennies.

They’re absolutely hopeless. I genuinely think they should appoint a dozen regulars in this thread and we’d do a far better job and get the place filled.

It's very easy to criticize, please tell us how you would do it.

This thread is constantly full of suggestions. For this game it should have been simple:

Sell the new stand tickets at a very cheap price "as a reward to the fans" and put them on open sale. IT gets new blues through the door, gives them a taste of the new stand and would fill the fucking thing up in it's first opening. A great "Fuck you" to the barrage of bad publicity the club's fans get around the world. A great chance to shopwcase the new stand and a simple way to ensure Pep's farewell.
