Seat Counters 25/26

I’m not really arsed at rival fans taking the piss, I laughed at the Geordies making a big deal about it when we were pumping them out of the cup.

This one has really pissed me off because Pep deserves 61,000 sending him off. If, as rumours suggest, there will be a renaming of the North Stand to the Pep Guardiola Stand, then the fact it’s not sold out is shocking.

That isn’t the fault of fans, it’ll be the clubs for having advanced restrictions in place for most of the week, and also for charging about £25 too much per ticket.
It was only announced 2 hours ago & tickets are selling again. Unfortunately it coincides with a hot bank holiday weekend so people will have other plans. I know loads of fans who are off to Wales today.

However I firmly believe they’ll all be sold.

Then there’s still thousands of fans that have been overcharged, and more that have been priced out of attending, which will affect them attending future games.

I think there is thousands of people in Greater Manchester that just can’t afford to go anymore and they’re priced out of the habit. The sort of people that would have picked up the 2,000-3,000 available tickets vs Palace, or maybe have gone to the semi final vs Newcastle that was half empty, if the pricing was done right generally.

It’s not just selling out one game, it’s about making it affordable in the medium to long term so non-season ticket holders can and will part with their money 5/6/7 times a season.

Those in the poorer parts of our metropolitan county won’t be able to afford £100+ to take their families multiple times a season, and then we have to look at empty seats.

It’s already a disgrace this has happened during the tenure of our greatest ever manager.

But you're bringing up two seperate thing.

If there are thousands of people who are willing to pay (say) £30 but not £56 and come to 5/6/7 games then great. They will pick up the cup game and midweek games already reduced for next season - the Cat D games if you like. The club have announced that - clearly it will have to be seen if that will work or not.

What you also seem to want is that this game, now a Cat A because of Pep's departure, should be one of the Cat D games as well. And it won't, because it will sell out at the £56 price point. And the club, obviously privy to info that we didn't know, also knew it would sell out.

It needs to sell now they’re announcing it as the Guardiola stand. It’s going to be all over the news and Pep will be presented with it.

Makes the decision to charge £56 for adults absolutely insane from a PR, how it’ll make Guardiola feel, perspective.

Should have just got it filled no matter what. As you say, hopefully it will now.

Knowing tickets are available is a completely different thing entirely. A lot of people just presume tickets are sold out etc.
That's exactly tight. And they aren't in the routin e of buying them or don't have memberships or whatever. And for every diehard on here there are 20 more casual fans who just aren't in the loop.

They should put them on open sale right now and push hard on the socials that you have a chance to sit in the brand new Pep Guardiola Stand and say goodbye to the legends.

You’re missing the point about longer term habit. If very few games and just midweek are affordable, it’s not going to get people coming week in, week out.

We’re not selling out CAT A games this season, Chelsea there were loads left for example.

With the capacity going up by 7,000 next season, there’s no chance we regularly fill it at the frozen prices for even Cat A games - outside of the Derby and title deciders (if we are in one).

There is the chance to regularly fill it, get loads of people back into the habit of going, generate an atmosphere in the new standing areas, by charging, cheaper, affordable tickets for all games.

If it doesn’t sell out Sunday, it’ll be a disaster for saying bye to Pep. I really hope it does but we wouldn’t be worrying if they’d charged £30, even £40.

I'm nearly crying

Pep selling NSL2 out on his own.

I fucking love Pep.

Like you all, I'm gutted he's going.

No more seat counting for Pep. :-(
