I've had a reply this morning to my query regarding the ticket exchange & they are sorry to hear about my experience with us. They carry on to say that the ticket exchange process is a little different to a refund as we have certain things we have to check for before we can send the monies back to the supporter. Oh and they appreciate my patience with them. I've replied & asked can they enlighten me as to what possible checks they need to do. They have all my bank details so what on earth do they need. Like you say they are always promoting it. Next time I might just leave the seat emptyI don’t know the mechanics of how the payments are processed but in the e-commerce era we live in, it defies logic that there isn’t the technology in place to have the cash paid instantly or failing that, within a day or two.
The club is constantly promoting ticket exchange and should be doing everything possible to make it a seamless experience. Making people wait weeks for their money is shoddy customer service and means they’re less likely to use the service in the future.
this is the problem isnt it. the system in place is a shambles, no wonder folk are just leaving their seat empty rather than going through the hassle of exchanging, only to be paid a month later.I've had a reply this morning to my query regarding the ticket exchange & they are sorry to hear about my experience with us. The process of the seat exchange could hardly be simpler. You list it with one click, then wait to hear if it’s sold or not, then wait for your money. I can understand the waiting is annoying if you need the money quickly, but you don’t get it at all if you don’t list it.this is the problem isnt it. the system in place is a shambles, no wonder folk are just leaving their seat empty rather than going through the hassle of exchanging, only to be paid a month later.
A few things could be made simpler, like you can only sell singles, and you may list 2 or 3 together and someone buys one, in the latter case the middle one. Singles left are low demand and the club are selling other singles in the block at £30 under-cutting you, so unlikely to sell for a medium/low demand game, and if in 3rd tiers a very low chance. The process of the seat exchange could hardly be simpler.
