Fairly new computer on Windows Vista basic, nearly every page I go to brings up warning headed -
Security Info
This page contains both secure and non secure items.
Do you want to etc etc

Its driving me mad, anyone know how to get rid of / reduce the frequency of the warning.
Not talking about obscure sites, even Sky, BBC etc.
Thanks in anticipation.

Everytime it comes up there should be a box in the left hand corner saying something like "dont remind me again". Tick it and it should go.

goto start then run cmd

type msconfig.exe

this brings up a box...at top of box find the TOOLS tab..(last tab on right)

click on the tools tab...then scroll down until you see DISABLE UAC...click on this..then click on launch in the bottom right corner...reboot your PC and hey presto no more asking you shit

right click on the start menu icon at bottom right..then click properties

a box will open up...make sure you are on the start menu tab..then click customize (at right side)

this will open another box...scroll down until you find Run Command...make sure this box is ticked.

now apply and ok

now in start menu you should have a run command icon

Thank you for your kind words and assistance.
Even I acknowledge the protection aspect of the warning, but even I know it should'nt come up 3 times before I can open a page. Unfortunately 'old' people like myself sometimes like to ask, after getting over the embarassment, those with some education in the subject for some help and advice.
Thankfully most Blues do'nt seem to mind helping, often going above and beyond.
Even more thankfully, we do'nt get intolerant know it all's leaving unhelpful responses.
Bet your great fun to sit next to at COMS, anyone allowed an opinion around you !!! thought not.
