Sell Dzeko and bring in a creative midfielder?

Anybody else think we have a top striker too many and not enough true quality in creative midfield, especially when Silva is injured?

I personally would look to sell Edin and buy a creative number ten, someone who can be relied on when Silva is out, we looked lost without David yesterday and the whole performance maybe showed how badly we missed out on Isco, I know Jovetic can play this position but at the moment he is looking like another Rodwell with his injuries.

Any names??

I would really try hard with Chelsea for Mata.

Mourinho doesn't seem keen on Mata, I would gladly sell Dzeko off to a club outside of Europe and go get Mata, creating chances wouldn't be a problem anymore and we would be able to play one up top more.

I think if the price is right Chelsea would sell and if Silva and co can convince Mata to come then maybe he can push for the move.

It all depends on how much game time he gets, I just think if he carries on like he is until the end of the season, even if he wins the league I think he might want out!

Imagine Silva, Mata and Nasri as creative options?

I would be looking at Draxler as well!

I would rather get a quality bc then another midfielder. To be honest even if silva played yesterday I don't think it would have mattered. When teams bunker up against us with silva or no silva we still look lost.

Aguero gets injured again and you won't be saying we have too many strikers.
if we sold Dzeko and got a winger/CAM in his place then three of Negredo, Aguero and Jovetic would fine. We could continue with our two striker partnership of Negredo-Aguero and if Aguero got injured we could easily play one of Jovetic/Negredo up top with 3 of Nasri/Silva/Milner/Navas/ new AM, we could even play Yaya in the hole with Fernandinho and another DM (this is another position we need reinforcements at) in the "2" of our 4-2-3-1.

Only problem is when will Jovetic be fit to play and then how long to get match fit, and then to adapt to the league. We may see him in form at the end of April if he's nearing fitness now.

This is a big problem for us, we had Richards, signed Rodwell and now have signed Jovetic. All three have numerous injury problems and are drawing big wages form the club on decent length contracts (I know Micah's is running down).

Do we keep paying them and wait for them to get fit, or is it better to have a couple of players in the squad to replace these, and try to rid them when we can ?

This is why the pundits keep saying we have strength in depth but in reality we only have 13/14 players who are good enough and fit to play in the first team. We are seriously short of available players, and now having Kompany and Silva missing who are arguably our most important two players is a huge blow.
