Just an update...
First off, thanks for all the replies and PMs. They have proved invaluable.
The dealers offers have varied a bit with the highest offers being £2100 for the Breitling and £1900 and IWC totalling £4000. Most did offer very good advice though.
Most said I should sell the Breitling for up to £4500, and the IWC for £3500. They felt these would be maximum, prices for a private sale.
The said the lowest I should take is £3500 for the Breitling and £2500 for the IWC in a private sale. So that is the lowest I will accept for these watches.
It does show what a massive mark up dealers make, even when they sell used watches etc.

My apologies Fula, seems i undecooked your Breitling (me bias showing) but maybe not your Schaffhausen, the three k bidder on here should be chomping at your new £2.5k price, save him the hassle of buying it in front of a worldwide audience for £2.5k.
Dealers pay rates and tax and have staff to pay and have to give gaurantees that will including thier lots keeping time once they've left the shop, they'll also have to be ready for somebody wanting to weigh-in some sorry lot that's almost impossible to get monies from, along with having a trusted competant repairer in tow...it's pretty much the reason why they ask more than private sellers.
