Semi-final draw: City v Arsenal 3pm Sunday confirmed

Everything about that day was shite, just shite and getting drenched leaving was the icing on the cake.

What I do remember though are Wigan fans in the tube queue, we were out quite sharpish but they were quite a bit in front of us. Wigan win the fa cup and some of them leg it and wouldn't have seen it lifted. Something they'll almost certainly not get chance to see ever again.

If memory serves me, the last train back to Wigan that day was earlier than the last train back to Manchester so the Wigan fans booked on trains had no chance but to do one straight on full time. It was bad enough for us fretting about whether we'd make the last train home and if it had gone to extra time and penalties we'd have all been fucked.

The FA don't give a shit about the travelling fan by having the final kick off at teatime. They try to cover themselves by urging fans to travel by coach instead of train, but once they've got you on Wembley's coach park it's just a free for all getting off afterwards with no escort to the motorway and it can take fucking hours just to get out of the area. The year of the Wigan final, we travelled to the Chelsea semi on one of Bredbury's coaches. Never again. The match ended just before 6pm - we got back to our coach and then had to wait about half an hour or so for 3 or 4 gimps who had gone AWOL before setting off, at which point we were virtually the last coach off there and straight into a load of standing traffic. At 9pm we could still see the fucking Wembley arch through the window. I'd consider a coach/minibus option if it was parking up elsewhere, ie: Watford, but not one that parks there.

Didn't realise they had train issues, fair enough then for them to make an early dart.

We've normally gone to Wealdstone by coach and then underground with a large beer stop in Ruslip each way, wouldn't dream of the car park at Wembley, did it once for the CS raggy game, never again.

Yeah, it's a joke mate. I did the coach to Wembley for that CS game too so should've realised what the Chelsea game would be like. Then again, I travelled with a different branch to the CS and heard Bredbury got back an hour or more earlier than our branch did so wrongly assumed by travelling with Bredbury that they'd have a quicker route home mapped out!
