What I meant was it looks like yet again the semi finals will clash with premier league games which is just stupid if the powers that be want to rekindle the 'magic of the cup'As it will be on bt or bbc don't think sky games have any relevance ... last year was 5.15 on Saturday and 4.00 on Sunday and would've thought it will be same this year though got caught out with league cup final early kick off so never know
Imagine this... United somehow beat Chelsea. Then the draw produces:
United vs City
Arsenal vs Tottenham
That would be something.
My preference would be Arsenal in the semis and United in the final.
I'm basically teetotal so can't get excited about any pub but on a dry sunny day the atmosphere at the Green Man can be very good. My regular parking spot is close by the Green Man so I hope that is our pub again, regardless of whether I venture in or not.
I'm torn, because they'll be much easier to beat in the semis than Chelsea. My preference is for United to get absolutely humped tonight
Yes I agree that FA Cup semi-finals diminish the aura of the final.
Beating Utd at Wembley was one of my best memories. The tension that day was incredible but the whole day rests on winning and from that point of view, Utd would be easier opponents than Chelsea. Pluses and minuses to it. I quite like the idea of an FA Cup Final v Man Utd but I think Chelsea are going to beat them even if it's a narrow game. Utd should be difficult to beat
Even though United are, on paper, the weakest team left in the competition I'm not sure I fancy the stress of playing them in a semi-final or final. I've only just about recovered from 2011.
Exactly. There's no way I want them to even have a sniff of a cup double. They'll never stfu.My preference is for United to get absolutely humped tonight
Beating the rags at Wembers was one of the best days of my life & one of the most important in our recent history.
It & the sick swan are deeply , damagingly ingrained in their physic.
It was our breakthrough day,it started the clock ticking, and they knew their days were numbered.
Fucking marvellous.
I'd imagine they'll invite us with open arms either day as usual. If it's on the Saturday will Wealdstone still have us? They are at home that day.

I agree. I also don't want some of our players out for the rest of the season with a fractured cheekboneWhoever we get it's going to be a difficult game, and I'm sure some on here will claim it's fixed regardless of who we're drawn against!

You're right of course, the 2011 semi final was one of the most emotional football matches I've ever attended.
But the atmosphere around the ground before and after the game (and at the motorway service stations there and back) was absolutely poisonous.
I want them out tonight.
