Semi finals (City v Real and A Madrid v Bayern)

Making our point would be getting to the final and booing our hearts out in front of the watching world. UEFA are an awful organisation who have regularly shafted us. Even this week after a couple of smoke bombs they've opened more disciplinary action against us for alleged fireworks when there was nothing of the sort.
I hope it makes the execs sat in their comfy seats squirm whenever they hear it.
That's the point. I don't think they give a toss. So the small number of people it's aimed at don't care at best, and if they do care, have every opportunity to hurt us on the pitch and off it. Whilst the listening millions will have no idea what it's about and just think we lack class. And I hate UEFA and FIFA as much as the next fan. I just think it's time to stop the booing.

Why should Bayern get rid of Pep prior to the final? Be sure that Pep wants to win that final with Bayern desperately. The only one that has a problem with Pep is the German media. Not the club, not the players and not the officials at Bayern. And if the English guys remark that Pep will keep as much distance to them as possible and not give any interviews to any of them personally it will be the same in England.

Wasn't saying they should or that I even want them to. Was just wondering if there might be one laat twist. I haven't really followed events in Germany that closely but the snippets I've caught have made it sound like relations with the club weren't great. If you say that's just paper talk though, that's fine.

I'd fully expect Pep to be hungier than ever when it comes to winning the champions league this year. I imagine he would be massively disappointed if he were to leave a club like Bayern having not won it and it would also slightly undermine his appointment at city if he were to lose us in a final (though I still think bringing him is the right decision whatever happens)

Simple you stop then.

others can carry on if they want
I get that mate, and I have. I'm making the wider point as to how the club is being perceived to the watching millions all over Europe rather than the handful of corrupt leeches in UEFA. I don't think the booing will do anything but damage the perception of us by the majority whilst it has zero impact on those it is aimed at.

Serious question. Isn't it time we stopped booing the Champions League anthem for the semis? I wasn't at the game on Tuesday but the BT coverage made sure that the booing was very loud on TV and then the subsequent volume of atmosphere during the game quite muted which worked perfectly for their agenda. I just think we have made our point and that continuing with it makes us look a little petty. I may well be in the minority but I think we should stop.

I don't care what BT do or say about our atmosphere, as said in the other thread other international channels were not so biased and having watched a champs league final in a bar in thailand before no one is paying attention to the conmentators or crowd levels as much as our media would like us to think. We boo therefore we are, just like the season we poznaned this is our unique thing this year that other teams have adopted too.

i'll take any team from the final 3 we may get. the only team i would have sighed out loud at drawing was Barca, so the rest dont worry me so much. its the semis and anything could happen.

the good thing about drawing athleti is they havent played against us before in the chumps league so they will be a bit unsure, not like they are strong 'ish' against Barca who they player on a regular basis.

if i had to choose i would go for real, the fuckers deserve to go out against us.....and the winner takes isco home with them!!!! :)
Head line "battle for Isco "

Of all the teams left, if there was one I could avoid, it'd be Atletico. They're such a dogged side, and our slow methodical build up would certainly struggle to break them down.

Spot on.

Add on they are the biggest fucking cheats I've ever seen on a pitch and the manager is the biggest **** out there.

Real are not great at the back and we have shown we can beat Bayern.

I hope we are perceived as a fan base with principles willing to stand up against all the shite we've taken from UEFA and threaten a hostile atmosphere to any visiting team who comes to play us.

Now we all know its nothing like that in reality but I'd like it to appear that way on TV anyway.
