Semi v Them

At the roundabout, which was the end of the route from Manchester, there were endless numbers of City coaches, minibuses, cars and vans and only a couple of rag coaches and cars. The City vehicles were loudly cheered and the rags abused including one rag in his open top car who ended up drenched in beer.
 
My first time at the new Wembley and went by coach. The City coach park was full and around 50 City coaches were parked around the United end due to their being that many more City coaches than Utd.
I knew this wouldn't be good after the game whether we won or lost and there was trouble before cutting across them.
I had my Wife and lad with me and after the match I went up a ramp that I shouldn't have and ended up walking down Wembley way on the United side with the nursery rhymes in my ear.
My wife's and lads colours were covered so we didn't get sussed as bottles and coins were flying.
I said to look pissed off so we didn't get sussed as being City.
We managed to cut back and get to the coach and the other jubilant blues.
The best part of the day was our coach pulling alongside the United players coach.
Three City coaches had them boxed in, one infront one behind and ours alongside , we gave them dogs abuse as the windows were right alongside each other about 10 inches apart.
I'll never forget Rio and Evras faces like thunder. Ferguson then ordered the lights to be turned off in their coach so we couldn't see them.

Brilliant !! We just beat them at Wembley and they have to sit in the dark surrounded by blues :)

One of my best days following City
 
When we scored a bloke near me sat down, pulled his coat over his head and sat like that for the rest of the match.

I was booked on the last train from Kings Cross to Leeds, not much more than an hour after the game, So as soon as the final whistle went I legged it, stupidly heading down Wembley Way. There was me, another dozen or so City fans and about 30,000 United fans. After being kicked a few times I decided I wasn't in such a rush to catch the train. So made my way over to where about 6 coppers were stood. Eventually they pulled out their truncheons and cracked a few heads which was quite entertaining. Not so enjoyable was seeing City fans with blood on their faces, carrying crying kids. After a while a few police on horses turned up and drove off the United fans.

Once saw that after a derby at Maine Rd. City fan pouring in blood with two kids, one on each hand, crying.

Since that day I've always regarded the Semi as 'The Final'. I was sitting on the front row by the corner flag where Yaya and the team charged over after he scored. I've got a cracking photo which now goes on my season card. Great Day!!

Gave my lad my final ticket as nothing...NOTHING...could take that feeling away from me on that day. Years and years and years of goading, smartarsery and being talked down to by part time plastics. That moment when I knew that my son would realise that the tears I shed that day were for all CITEH fans.
 
one of things i remember the most was the lad next to me drunk as anything, got out a joint and started smoking it when we scored, no stewards anywhere in site

I've been trying to find a list with our results for the FA cup win and our 2 prem wins. I'm trying to get some stuff framed and put on the wall.
any help greatly appreciated. I've tried City and the FA but no luck.

We were on the coach on the way back.
We drove for about 2 miles right next to the city coach.
Players were waving and cheering to us Mario was going me talking.
It finished off a brilliant day
 
Great Day. Not just a win but the day, after all those years, the world turned.

Behind the goal in level I just remember the relentless noise. The Goal was unbelievable joy and the rest of the match was biting nails. The last twenty minutes seemed like two hours. As many have already said the ungracious Reds afterwards was very depressing. (I always pray we avoid them in the cups). When I got home I watched it all on SKY+ recording. After the pre-match Poznan Adrian Childes said that the "stadium has been literally shaking as City fans did the Poznan". Also after the couple of missed chances by Berbatov/Save by Hart City after about 20mins we bossed it. We won at a canter but my nerves on the day had me feeling it was like the Defence of Rourke Drift.

The Final was just a formality...we were never going to let Stoke have a sniff.

I remembered the year before watching the Etihad Derby in a pub in Lincoln when Scholes snatched the last minute winner. The usual Red hangers on were cheering. As I left I said "Dont worry lads, that ache in your necks from looking over your shoulder will soon be gone, 'cos we'll be past you soon" and so it came to pass!!!
 
50 years old and cryied like a baby at the final whistle on my knees, blues dancing everywhere it was like the last 30 years of taunting lifted from us, will never be forgotten the coach journey home was very sweat.

The reds I talk to simply do not believe me when I say, until we got to Leicester, we saw one coach and no cars of rags. It really put meat on the bones of the southern fan base. This was completed after the match when queuing to get in Wembley Park when I was told to "fuck off back to Manchester" by shirt wearing rags.

My young son was with me and was upset by what happened on Olympic (Wembley) Way. Men unconcious on the ground, threats and intimidation from the cunts in numbers showing their true colours picking on families.

As for the game, following a shaky start, we soon got on top and the relief at the end was tremendous. A game v Stoke threatened to be the same as the rag semi in terms of fans but it could not have been more different. As soon as we got off the tube we were approached by a group - who wanted a group photo City and Stoke fans. After the game walking to our car we heard a van sounding it's horn and thought the worst but it was a load of jovial Stoke fans congratulating us.

United fans really are fucking scum.

That day was particularly bad
 
We stopped at Corley services and there was a group of three or four Rags, one more drunk than the others who wanted to kick the shit out of us. He was having some difficulty in just standing up, and the rest of us Blues just ignored the pillock and got on with eating our pasties!

I place this fixture at the top of my pile of Rag defeats. I took a picture of Yaya and the heap of City players when they ran over to our corner flag. I was on the front row, and with a ten foot bargepole I could have touched them. The picture is on my desktop and adorns my season card.
