Sergio Agüero | Manchester City's All Time Top Goalscorer

What's the breakdown per competition for him to be top scorer in everything?

I know he's already the European games record older but FA Cup, League Cup & Charity Shield,?

Edit needs another 8 in the FA Cup and a chunky 15 in the League Cup. No idea on the Charity Shield.

Use to imagine when I was a kid about being at Maine Road watching the likes of Brook, Johnson, Woosnam, Swift and Doherty (although I still imagine it now!) and I physically watched the 50s and the dross of the early 60s, but to have watched a player like Sergio score his first v Swansea and hopefully the record breaker at The Etihad is the stuff of privilege.

For those of us so blessed to have watched the great City teams of our generation (plus of course all the dross in between) we will be privileged indeed to see Sergio break the record. I hope and pray it's at the Etihad - he (and we) deserve nothing less. Hopefully it will be at the Family Stand end, just to the right of the goal, at 93.20. That would be very fitting.

Speaks volumes that all blues really want him to break the record and be there to see him do it.

United fans didn't feel the same about Rooney last season. Sky and rag media made the bigger fuss.

Becoming our greatest goal scorer ever is absolutely enormous.

The fact it's going to be 'the guy' who was brought in at the beginning of the changes as a statement of intent, and the guy who brought us the end of 44 years of disappointment, is fucking magical.

The Poster Boy encapsulates just how much this much maligned club has actually 'got right'. He's delivered and as such will forever be regarded as an absolute legend.

I hope the goal that clinches the record is a proper fucking worldly.

Very well said, pal.

£100 says it's going to be a scrappy tap-in

I'd "luv it" if he could break the record next saturday, as I'm over for the game. Can't see it though, as he'd need to bag at least a couple today (don't think he will play at the Hawthorns) to give him a realistic shot at it against Palace. And today is no gimme of a game.
