Sergio Aguero - 2016/17 performances

The crux of the matter for all Kuns brilliance he doesn't work hard enough, when he first arrived he worked his bollocks off, within every year it gets less and less, that's why he won't ever reach his full potential, Pep won't let him stroll about, why should he?
I think you have confused Dzeko or Bony or maybe Zlatan with Aguero. One of Aguero's strengths is his mobility and agility.

I do think his game has dipped a little. He's not as quick as the player who arrived from Atletico, but he's still a fantastic striker.

We got in some great opportunities against Everton, and Barca, but scored once. I am sure we would have done better against Everton had he been fit. The tactics were spot on against Barca. We had the upper hand as a team before individual errors blew it up in our face, although I think we massively overdo the passing with Bravo especially against a team who press. Too risky.

Your point is valid about the reduction in work rate each passing season. Wonder if it is because he knows he is prone to easily picking up injuries and has deliberately slowed down a little as a self preservation mechanism?
My complaint about Aguero in the past was that he was too selfless. He'd often be in the channels and coming deep to join up with play when I wanted to see him on the shoulder of the last man, making runs into the box.

The important thing is the team. We have had two bad results against Everton and Barca, yet any City fan who watched those games will have seen a lot of positives as well. The team play, pressing and passing is improving

Marv, your last sentence is spot on. Whilst we have had a few poor results recently, there cannot be many who cannot see the overall improvement in the team performances. Will only get better with time too.

I think so, although confidence and mental focus and physical tiredness are short term factors. Any kind of win against Southampton will do me just to get back on track.

Beat Southampton, and Utd fail to beat Chelsea, and that will be one of the so called title contenders knocked out of the race by October.

That's pretty much the nail on the head for me, playing for his country after a twinge was stupidity, not gone unnoticed by Pep it's panning out, perhaps Pep noticed a lack of intensity in training- and it's his way of warning him club comes first when preserving yourself.

I don't think Aguero presses anywhere near as well as he should, and for me it's telling that we signed Jesus and wanted Aubameyang this summer.

I love Aguero, but he really needs to up his off the ball intensity.

Is there any evidence that Jesus likes pressing non stop for 90 minutes? Judging by how the whole Brazilian teams play they prefer a more slower possession based game- completely different to how city currently play.

Aguero himself has said he's adapting to the new style of play- we are only 10 games into the season for christs sake.

Moan moan moan - how many goals has this man scored for us? Some short memories.

Oh and the qpr game?????
