Great tonight, not just the goal but his overall play.

He went out wide and switched positions, which I thought brought him into the game more
He was great tonight, he was great on Saturday. I think some have doubted him because Pep has appeared to doubt him, but he just keeps on scoring. The dip he put on the ball scoring tonight reminded me of his goal on his debut that great night against Swansea. He looked happy tonight too. I hope he is.

I know some are paying credence to the rumour Aguero could be leaving in the summer but honestly I can't see why Aguero would want to leave at the end of the season even if it's not gone perfect for him (unless it's to Real or Barca), staying a part of this Pep team is the best shot he'll have at a CL medal and he will want that badly. For our part we will probably buy a forward and still keep Sergio, preferably one that can play out wide if need be to give us more options and rotation.

I want him to leave City at the end of his career (with maybe a few years back in Argentina or maybe China if he wants to top up his pension fund) with a statue of him scoring the Agueroooooo goal!! at the top of Mercer Way.

What’s he doing that Sam Lee isn’t?
In my opinion, Jose Alvarez is much more given to making inflammatory statements regarding players, negotiations, and other operations at some of the worst times to do so (some of it could be read as him intentionally attempting to influence outcomes, whether successfully or not, perhaps at the behest of players).

As frustrating as Sam Lee can be, his reporting has rarely been immflamatory from a timing and subject matter standpoint (and is very seldom the first source of such information, unlike Alvarez).

I think a lot of what he says is not true, but that is not the concern—if the last few years have taught us anything it is that “truth” is now whatever anyone wants it to be (frighteningly so), which means people like this have quite a lot of power these days.

Anyway, should get back on Sergio so this post is not removed for irrelevancy.

I think he played well yesterday—he contributed to our pressing, consistently made great runs, and finished a plum to settle things down. I hope he continues that effort for the rest of the season.

Kun firing on all cylinders as we get deeper and deeper into competitions...I'd like to see Sergio get to 35 goals in all comps this season. Last season was the most he's had with us so to see his two highest goal-scoring years both be under Pep should shut some of his haters up.
