Maybe but that goal at Brighton says to me give him that opportunity he score 9/10 times Sanchez wouldn't of seen buses like the ones Aguero has to get through hope Im wrong but just be the same with Sanchez
I think with Aguero, when he does put the ball in the net, he does it so emphatically that it makes you feel crazy for doubting him.

170 in 255 games , 1 off becoming the premierships top non english goals all time , 7 off becoming our all time goalscorer , Im sure in years to come people wont remember the chances he missed , our grandchildren will be asking were we lucky enough to see him play
That's brilliant but we are trying to win the league and the Champions League and are competing against teams who are much more clinical than we are. Nobody is saying he hasn't been a fantastic player for us, people are just expressing their concerns about his current level.

"Sanchez won't have seen buses like the ones Aguero has to get through".

Eh? Are we trying to pretend that City are now the only club in the league who have to deal with parked defences? 90% of clubs who park the bus vs. us will do the same vs. Arsenal.

Sanchez won't necessarily score more goals or at a more clinical rate than Aguero, but he's got something different, he scores different types of goals and that's important IMO, you want to be able to score all sorts as a team.

Sanchez gets quite a few goals from outside the box, which Aguero never did much of, and we as a team seem to lack. He also is great at striking the ball early which is something Kun used to do but doesn't anymore.

So it's not about scoring more individually, or being more clinical IMO, just adding more variety of goals to the team, offering different threats.

Hopefully if we got Sanchez, we'd get a trio of players in Aguero, Sanchez, Jesus who can all learn off each other, and feed off each other. Certainly if we played 433 with a front 3 of Sanchez, Aguero, Jesus, with KDB and Silva behind you'd be in dreamland as a striker. So much creativity, pace, movement and other goal threats around you to supply you and create space. And Sané, Sterling, Bernardo to rotate in, keep you fresh in a world cup year, offer more width, put balls into the box for you etc.

It's obvious Aguero is not going anywhere this summer, are some people having problems now even with Sanchez as addition to our team and competition to Aguero eventually? FFS.

Aguero's conversion rate in 6 PL seasons as follows based on total attempts:
17.69% (11/12)
13.95% (12/13)
19.77% (13/14)
17.57% (14/15)
20.17% (15/16)
14.47% (16/17)

Ronaldo's conversion rate in La Liga based on total attempts:
17.42% (11/12)
14.47% (12/13)
14.35% (13/14)
21.33% (14/15)
15.42% (15/16)
15.43% (16/17)

The bottom line is the rates are very similar. Ronaldo averages more attempts per game than Aguero and hence his total goal tally is higher.

Should Real Madrid have got rid of Ronaldo after his "poor" returns in 12/13 and 13/14?

As for Sanchez, who I hope we get, his conversion rate in 16/17 was 18.60%. In 15/16 it was 12.26% and 14/15 13.11%. So was 16/17 the exception and not the norm? If he reverts to just over 1 goal from 10 attempts like he did in 15/16 there will be lots of fun on here :)

Astonished about the amount of crap being talked about Sergio.

He scored 33 goals last season. He's scored 170 in 250 for us and most people here are saying he's finished and suffering from some sort of terrible dip in form and is struggling to be able to kick a ball anymore.

All strikers miss chances. He fucked one up on Monday. He knows that but class is permanent.

I don't buy into the Pep mantra that we miss many more chances than every other team. We actually struggle to create clear cut chances and miss/similar levels to other teams.

The one thing I noticed on Monday was on a couple of occasions when it a great position Kun wouldn't take the shot on. The Kun of a a few years ago would definitely have shot and probably scored. If it's a confidence issue hopefully he'll get through it, it may well be that as he is being asked to change his role somewhat he's not backing his instincts even in circumstances when he should. Hopefully as he adjusts he'll start making the right call in these situations.
