Sergio Aguero announces his retirement | A thread to pay tribute

What a lot of people don't appreciate about Aguero is his consistency. He was a top goalscorer for us for 10 years, despite his injury problems. Strikers don't tend to have a long life, look at Owen, Torres, Fowler, etc, Kane looks like he's starting to wane. To be a consistent top player since a teenager to his 30's is very impressive.

Sad news he had to retire, we all knew it was coming but it still hurts like a tonne of bricks. When he finished with us the end of last season, that was tough, but to see him go out this way doesn't seem fair, and he deserved a lot better, but as long as Sergio is healthy and can live a great life, football doesn't matter in comparison.

Thanks for the memories Sergio, will forever be one of ours, and our greatest.

Enjoy retirement Kun, it's well earnt, and thanks for the memories, and especially the best one I've ever had supporting City, and in any sport I watch.

Without a doubt he's the greatest goalscorer in our history and how lucky we were to have had the best years of his career at our club.
From his debut at home to Swansea you could see he was going to be a special talent.
Thank you Kun for all the great goals and the fantastic memories..you will always be welcomed back to the Etihad from all the blue family.
Sergio "Kun" Aguero a true legend.
