His body is done. I know people weren't happy about him leaving but he would have spent most of the year on the treatment table. Not sure where his career goes after his stint at Barca as I doubt many would want him. Maybe back to Argentina?

Probably just retirement. He'll be 35 and able to enjoy a nice life.

I, we all love Sergio, but i'm so glad we released him at the right time.

I feel like we've had a great track record of selling or releasing players when they've reached their peak or dogged by injuries.

The reason why we let him go because his body can’t keep up anymore. Pep and txiki don’t make that many mistakes when it comes to squad trimming and recruitment, it looks like they’ve made another good decision.
