I am gutted for him! This is definitely not the way to retire from what you love to do the most. But atleast he caught it early otherwise it would have been worse if caught late!

I wish him all the best and hope he is able to pursue a career in football one way or another!

He has nothing left to prove. I'd have much preferred he announced his retirement at City; a fitting end to an astonishing career. He'd have made his name worldwide no matter which club he was at, i'm just thankful and privileged that he chose to do so at Manchester City.

I really hope he comes back to the club in some sort of ambassador role at least.
