He does not quite have the perma-rage thuglife approach of Pepe, he still haa some inner thug waiting to burst out when finding himself on the losing team (particulaly when Barcelona are the other team). Hi tackle on Messi in the last few minutes of the spanish supercup match at the start of the season was about the worst thing and most unneccessary thing I have seen for years. Basically, he is a dick.

However he does have ability and confidence in abundance, but not so much ability he is allowed anywhere near the centre half positions anymore. Carvalho at the same age was a far superior player than Ramos is now. Hence his career at right back.

Ramos is shit look at him tonight and watch how he struggles against Barca. Granted every team will find it hard against Barca. Madrids defence with him and the rest of the defence is what is letting them down in the last few seasons against Barca and in the champions league in my view.

Generally the lack of good right backs is one thing but it would be a shame to use Ramos on the right side of the defence if he's such a world class CB. A very decent right back but truly brilliant at the centre.
