Sergio Ramos

The days of buying players at the end of their careers should have long gone. We have no need to buy players who have won this or that, we want players who are WINNING this 'n that. And just imagine the bullshite in the week preceding a Dipper v City game. Ramos wouldn't last a single half with the likes of Taylor 'n Attwell in charge - whether he touches anyone one or not. Just can't see City hierarchy thinking about this.
Nor I. Pure paper talk to fuel his renegotiation with Real Madrid.
That said, I'd pay good money to see him up against Wood and Barnes at Turf Moor on a bitterly cold night, though preferably not in our colours.

This is one of the worst takes I've ever seen on this forum.

Agreed.

The only way he's coming in is if Laporte is leaving IMO. It's gonna take a big fee to get Laporte, you would have thought, i just can't see who would pay it outside of PSG?

Why have they gone, surely there is a time and place for everything. There will be situations when an older player is preferable. I think if Laporte goes this is one, if an older player has less expectaions . It will depend on things we can't know one of which is how we expect academy players at different ages to progress. Delap may be another where we have high expectations ,so Kane is preffered to Haaland. We can't know.

I watched him play at Chelsea. Ramos was shockingly bad. Thiago Silva is older than Ramos but he carries his age well. Ramos doesn't.

I've not based my opinion on 1 game he was rushed back to play half-fit, but by watching La Liga most weekends over the season.

He's been really good when he's fit. When he was playing through injuries, he wasn't. I assume we'd not sign him unfit.

It was clear that Ramos was unfit at that game. I think this is all about to getting a 2yr deal out of Real Madrid.

Have stayed well clear of all forums and social media since the loss!

this rumour has brought me back with a bang! Would be absolutely buzzing if we signed him, the work he would do in bringing on stones and Dias would be priceless and he would bring a proper winning mentality to the squad!
Are you for real or maybe Ramos' agent? He doesn't need to bring on Stones & Dias. They are already the finished article. As a third choice if Laporte lacks the balls to stay and fight for his place (like JS did so well) then he may be worth considering but not on full pay. He is at retirement age.
