There's a few levels to it.

The first thing that drew attention was a case where they tried to cheat on Luis Suarez's Italian citizenship and got caught.


There's also all these inflated swap deals Juventus were doing like Arthur/Pjanic and Cancelo/Danilo where they would massively overpay in return for getting money in to balance the books. There's 42 of those under investigation.

Italy is one of the most surveilled countries in the world, the police can get warrants to hear your calls for almost anything, so it I think they've been investigated for one of the 2 things above, and now been caught in a range of other financial crimes.
