Serie A Thread | 2024/25

Average start for the champs Inter - conceding a stoppage time equaliser away at Genoa.

Their city rivals with a very late comeback too to draw in the San Siro.

I know Napoli declined last season after winning the Scudetto in the season before. However, still a big of a shocker to see Verona administer a 3-0 beating.

The start of the new season was a bit of an interesting one as on Saturday, it was a day of draws.

Out of the newly promoted teams, Parma were the only ones to have done well, coming away with a draw. The last promoted plays against Juve this evening.

The most interesting match for me was between Genoa v Inter which ended 2-2. It had disallowed goals, missed pen and var calls.

Both Verona and Lazio missed the memo on the weekend of draws by winning their games. The shock of the weekend being Verona smashing Napoli by 3-0. All the other teams still drew their games on Sunday.

Atalanta currently lead against Lecce by 2-0.

Seems that this season will once again be an interesting Serie A.

Ex-City & Wednesday player Fisayo Dele-Bashiru has signed for Lazio this season, played yesterday in their 3-1 win over Venezia.

Atalanta were absolutely ruthless in their match against Lecce with 4 goals without response.

While Juve beat the last promoted side to play on match day 1, Como, by 3-0.

Off to see Venezia v Torino a week on Friday. Never arrived at a ground by boat before so should be a good experience.
