Serious Car crash on Shudehill;

The elderly male passenger apparently has died.The woman driver in hospital.
Happened about 1.30pm,right on the tram tracks where they cross Rochdale road.
Apparently the car went into a post supporting overhead wires for trams.

just seen that on the men website

i also seen a crash this morning outside morrisons in reddish, a lorry and a moped, hope they are all ok, cant find no news on the accident in reddish

Yes the picture in the paper doesn't really show how severe the damage to the car was.Front completely crushed.They had to remove the roof to reach the unfortunate couple.RIP.
