Sessegnon!

I think he's been dire in the premier league apart from a few performances under O'Neill. Could be he needed time to settle in or that he was playing for a poor manager but I still think if we were to sign him he'd have us pulling our hair out with his ability to mess up great positions taking the wrong option all the time.

I agree, this can be his downfall and the only reason i cant see him playing for us
 
Best forward,and probably player,on the pitch today.

His movement and workrate was superb,a real handful.

A very astute and bargain of a signing.
 
If Milner can get a game here, I can't see why he wouldn't.

Anyway, we don't need him as we can do a lot better,

My post is not necessary connected with Sessegnon or buying him but isn't that what could be said in time United were buying Valencia.

He is arguably their best player this season, maybe even better than Rooney.

Having loads of money like we do shouldn't mean we should just buy 30-40 millions players from top teams. I would love to see some small money purchases that would make good job at City.

I agree.

That said i dunno how long you have been blue MSP (hopefully your blue for life now) but we have always had a cracking academy.
Even when the first team couldn't find it's own arsehole the academy was still respectable then.

So i would like to see us use some of these lads as a fair few deserve a crack at the top.

For example i would have Guidetti back here first thing after the Dutch league finishes.

I do think we need to buy Hazard though. Even if he was shite as long as it kept Vince sweet it would be worth it hehe.
 
Not for too long but I've read somewhere that City academy have most professional footballers in England at the moment.

The problem with City is that damn title. We should never let ourselves to be in this situation and should win damn thing this year. We still can't but I don't think we will.

That pressure to win it stops manager(s) to use younger players as they're concerned about their job if they don't produce results.

We barely used any youngsters this season and can't see us using them next too if we fail to win title this year.

On topic. No Sessignon for me. As others have alluded to, he is a bigish fish at a solid mid table club.
That ain't no bad thing considering if he looks above him there are some of the worlds best players knocking around.

If he keeps it solid next season THEN he will be looking at the big boys as a new home.
