Set Pieces....

Obviously you have to mix corners up a bit from time to time, but I don't know why we don't try in-swingers more often. Seemed to be out-swingers every time today.

Spot on
Inswingers with pace are horrible for keepers if hit at near post
Our corner takers seem to have the knack of finding defenders heads with unswerving accuracy these days...

Your wrong, our tactic is to put every corner near post. It's not the corner takes fault if they know what were doing.
What? We've often got nobody at the near post anyway. Who the hell is the corner taker aiming for?

Have you watched City this season? Every corner has gone near to the post.

I'm well aware of that. But we rarely have anyone at the near post (Negredo has got there once or twice) and it's easy to defend against and very difficult to score with the initial header. We've never got near the success we enjoyed when we used them under John Bond.

Yes that's just utter bollocks. Silva rarely gets his corners past the first man. Even for a near post flick on you'd have to be either small or bendy to get down low enough to flick them on.

No team should(/does?) have the same corner tactic for every single corner, teams would work it out.

Nasri has 90% of the time this season hit great corners.

They should go into the middle of the posts away from the keeper but not past the penalty spot.

We have deffo been working near post set pieces this season. Kolarov has been on the end of at least 5/6 so far, not sure who is supposed to do it when he's not involved.

All seem to be forgetting Serg's header v west ham was a near post bullet from a Silva free kick. We've been quite inventive this season from set plays. A few moves early on that had teams lost with what we were doing. Haven't done one in a while though.
