Eh? We had a couple of innovative short corner routines in the first half which created good chances we should have scored from.
The team have barely been training for months it’s just been rest and recovery.
No sorry, that is just an excuse for failure.
We take short corners because we cannot beat the first defender.

We could hold the keepers at every corner so they can’t get off the line ..
Mind you, we wouldn’t get away with that as it’s cheating ..

You can see the difference this guy made with us and now at Arsenal. Some call it cheating others innovating but you can't argue he gets results. Look a the choreography of an Arsenal corner compared to ours. I really cannot understand why we haven't done something about it.

Not necessarily true - I think we do it depending on the opposition look at WHU they had some very big players
Hence a different tactic

Kev can hit a ball on the run 60yrds to the big toe of Foden on the left wing but his corners are fucking shite. Everyone in the team seems incapable of hitting a decent one.
In the last few years I think only Alvarez put a half decent cross in from a corner.
It blows my mind every week when im sat there watching it.
I know what kdb has done in the past. My comment was about what he didn't do yesterday and what City have not done for a good number of years, beat the first man at a corner.
We have no big men that can currently jump, other than Haland who is marked out. We also only have a couple who can hit a ball well from the edge of the box. We could try running at them from outside the box but may loose the ball doing so.
Ok, point taken, but we keep doing it. Surely we have one player capable of beating the first man.
We cannot take every corner short, it needs to be a mixture of both.
But we can't clear the first man.

We’re more likely to score from a throw in at our own corner flag. For all the talent that we have, not one of the players can put in a threatening corner. It’s most bizarre.
Noticed on a corner for Arsenal Brighton had 3 player on the halfway line making Arsenal have to bring at least 3 players back! I always thought bringing everyone back when an opponent has a corner was wrong for me! Just say a team puts 5 players on the halfway line what would the opponent manager do?
