Sevilla (A) DIY Travel/Accomodation thread

Missed the cheaper flights yesterday to Seville. Now looking about £180 from London. Seen a few mention Madrid. Any other routes being taken?

There is an early morning flight from Dublin to Seville & evening flights from Manchester to Dublin for nearly nowt. Less options for a Wednesday return flight.

Booked 3 of us at the 4* Riu Costa Lago, Torremolinos, 4 nights all inclusive, Manchester flights, £290 each.

Hopefully jump on Mac's coach to Seville.

4 minutes from the hotel we've booked in Torra.

Flying Manchester - Malaga Monday morning back Thursday afternoon with Ryanair. 1 night in Fuengirola, 1 in Seville and then 1 back in Fuengirola. Should get around 2000 tickets, champs league rules min 5% capacity

For those still looking at going and want to do it as cheap as possible (sense of adventure required!)...

Monday 2nd Nov, there is still a 30 quid Ryanair flight to Faro from Manchester. Note it arrives very late on the Monday, 23.30. Get the coach to Seville on the Tuesday, one way fares are around 20e.

Coming home there are a couple of options. You can fly back from Gibraltar to Luton for on the 4th for £48 or the 5th for £59. The best option might be flying back from Madrid to Manchester on the 4th for £47. It's a later flight (21.35) so ample time to hop on the train from Seville the day after the game.

Manchester - Faro; Mon 2nd £30
Faro - Seville coach; Tues 3rd 20e
Seville - Madrid train; Weds 4th, not sure on price but guessing £20/£25?
Madrid - Manchester; Weds 4th £47

Factor in hotels in Faro (cheap in my experience), and Seville (cheap from what I've seen and ultimately booked), so maybe another 60 quid based on a solo traveller, less if 2 sharing.

I make that about £170 ish all in, give or take, with the benefits of flying from and to Manchester.

Just booked Alicante to Seville on
Monday the 2nd ( vuelling ). Booked a long weekend in Benidorm ages ago. There's about four flights from Manchester ( various carriers ) that get you into Alicante in time for flight to Seville at 20.45 arrive 22.05, cost €65. You can get back to Manchester day after game via Barcelona with Ryanair for about £60 but only have 1 hour 25 between flights. I didn't fancy taking the chance.

Manchester to Barcelona and Barcelona to Seville day before. Seville to Barcelona and Barcelona to Manchester day after game. That's coming in at less than £160. All with Ryanair. Plenty time for connections on the way out but only 1 hour 25 connection time coming back. Doable but I opted for Paris coming back

Sevilla only got close to capacity twice last season, unsurprisingly against Real Madrid and Barcelona. However in the Europa they did get 35,000 three times and I'm not sure if they have a reduced capacity for European games or it was just coincidence that they got the same crowd three times.

In 2007, Spurs were given 4000 so it may be more than you think. Police we're very heavy handed that night too with loads of spurs fans getting injured.

They also beat Monchengladbach twice in the last 32 of the competition last season.

Travelling tues from Birmingham to Malaga, back Thursday £90 retn. Missed all the cheaper flights from mcr. Staying near estepona as a mate has a place in duquesa...does anyone know if the coaches mentioned early are travelling from anywhere near either of these 2 places as otherwise we will be doing train/drive?
