Sevilla pre-match thread

I would be astonished if there is not a fine display of bent and abject refereeing. I cannot see the game passing without City having a player sent off, a penalty given against us, ball crossing the line, or something that will all but assure Seville of a win. Make no mistake UEFA will want us out and as quick as possible more so now the club has pretty much publicly backed the fans booing. Desperate to be wrong of course but I fear the worst.

I was watching a bit of Astana - Atletico game. Astana absolutely dominated Atletico. It's pretty fascinating to see a nobody team from Kazakhstan playing Atletico off the park, who were CL finalists and Spanish champions only 1.5 years ago. Just goes to show how competitive CL can be! Anyways as I always say, there are no easy games in the CL and certainly no easy away games. Good luck at Seville though!

Anybody else expecting some bent reffing after the city fans booed the anthem? I'm expecting uefa to have the officials well drilled tonight!
Agree FIFA are at best a laughing stock, at worst criminals - but don't like the way the media is attempting to blow up our @$*% so it becomes even more controversial - they're supposed to report news not try to make it - gutter press imo!

What? Atletico have had the three best chances and Torres should've had two.

It's incredible how different the group could look after todays results. If we win we could be top or second, if we draw we could be top or second, and if we lose we would be third and possibly barely ahead of fourth. I know that if Gladbach don't win and we do then we advance already but I want us to top the group and that means the Germans knocking points off Juve and us getting at least a draw tonight. Topping the group means we avoid Barca, Bayern, Real/PSG, etc. C'mon City!!

Apart from Gameiro he maybe right, we were lucky to beat Sevilla at the Etihad, and with some helpful refereeing a near certainty its not hard to make a case for Sevilla winning.

As for the Rags they are at Home playing a team who dont travel well and are due by the law of averages to score a goal or two, living in hope of course that they continue to be unable to hit a cows arse with a shovel but alas I fear they will have enough to beat CSKA.

Chelsea not unlike United, playing a team they should beat at home without too much drama and despite the current unrest thier form will improve greatly sooner rather than later.

Arsenal on the other hand I feel a shock draw might happen.

Win the group we get either madrid/psg come 2nd in the group we get either madrid/psg

Need to beat 16 men tonight with a team that's had almost no rotation for a month. Big ask but a result tonight will give us breathing space for the other 2 games.....maybe if the eds lads are through we could play them v juve and really fuck UEFA off.

We can't go top of the group if we draw, even if Juve lose they've still got the head-to-head advantage over us.

Bayern coming 2nd to Arsenal or PSG topping Real could happen. Not that it would be much better to face PSG. There'll be a way to make it incredibly hard for us.
