Sevilla v City post match thread

Cracking performance, especially first half when all the hard work was done.
Did really feel like a coming of age in the Champs League for me, so lets now top this group and see where it takes us.
Well done City!

Superb performance from the team tonight, Pellegrini got it right tonight with the tactics, I thought Fernandinho, Toure, Sterling, Navas, and Fernando absolutely bossed the midfield, took our chances in the first half and was set up to absorb their pressure in the second half, while still being very dangerous on the counter attack...........well done guys......

What an achievement to win by this margin away with most of the players out. I will accept City finishing 2nd if they face Zenit in the 2nd round though as it will be magical to see Javi Garcia and Shatov at Etihad. City better get put with Shatov's Zenit, this CL campaign. The scenes seeing AVB returning after his 6-0 thrashing too.

Pretty much perfect performance (other than the left hand side of our defence). Perfect set up, perfect attitude and fantastic performances from almost everyone. Not starting De Bruyne raised eyebrows, but Navas and Sterling made a mockery of their defence while Bony was a colossus up front, holding off defenders like they were children. Great stuff

Fernandinho Fernando and Yaya were extremely good. In fact all of them were.

Sevilla were terrible. Six years since they've actually finished in the top four in Spain and you can tell, a poor side in all.

But taken nowt away from us, we made them look as shit as they are.

Pellegrini is really growing on me. From me thinking the man was a tactical fool, he's realised that playing a three man centre mid in big away games is the way forward. This change in his ways might keep him in a job with us for a few more years. If we continue to have proper tactics with discipline and the opposition in mind then I wouldn't want to get rid of him.

Fernando and Fenandinho though, what a pairing and behind Yaya who was very good with his passing and forward thinking play.

The commentators were making Seville out to be Brazil of 1970 and City to be the Royal Oak when the game started. You're right, they are pretty shit - they had their chance the other week and blew it

We are a class apart, they are Europa League standard
