I'm no longer sure who is being serious or not with Zinchenko - his full name is now Ineligible Zinchenko.

Not sure what you mean by ineligible?

IMO nailed on to start at LB. Not to mention he is from Ukraine.

Even played for Shakhtar u17 and u19 teams. Expecting him to be extra motivated tomorrow.

Take out the likes of Spanish Dave and Kev and we usually labour.
Shakhtar looked good in the first game.
It’s a long distance away game, days before a derby.
Nothing rides on the result.

Those are my reasons, Karen.
Sad but true SB. I just couldn’t bring myself to vote for us to lose though.... Hence my first vote for a draw in about 5 years :-)

I will bet you any money he doesn't feature.

I don't care...I want to see D.Silva against the feckin rags..... :(

Our first team needs rotation but we are on a winning run and dominate games so the effort levels are not as significant as we are rarely chasing the ball for long periods. We have ground out four wins on the bounce and key players will get a week off ahead of the derby while squad players can showcase to Pep why they should be used more. They failed to impress against Feyenoord largely.

Having said that, losing the game would be a mental blow ahead of the derby. We want to turn up showing that we are still in great form and not inviting media scrutiny as our run comes to an end.

The derby will be tough. They have the perfect players to exploit us with Stones and Mendy out but if we control possession as we ahould we will create more chances and just need to take them.

If we dropped points here, it could potentially motivate us even more to beat the rags

That is silly. We might not have picked up 3 points regardless of what we do.

I think we should rest key players but play a strong team.

Rest
David and Dihno: The middle 3 should all be rested

Kompany and Otamendi: Otamendi coz we need our best defender fresh and Kompany coz he is our best Ariel defender and he can't handle 2 games

Delph: Can't handle 2 games.

Sterling and Jesus: Both should be fresh to start at the weekend

Ederson,Walker, Sane and Aguero plus Mangala, Danilo, Duherty, Yaya, Gundogan, Foden, Bernardo,

........................Ederson..............................
Danilo......Walker....Mangala......Duhaney
...........................Yaya....................
...Bernado......Foden..Gundogan.......Sane........
.................................Aguero

That's how is play it. Pull Sane and Walker for Adarabioyo and Diaz.

Not Silly at all. Silva is already a doubt for the derby. Injuries mount up at this time of year. Playing 1st team players needlessly in a pointless match 3 days before a crunch game is plain stupid. If walker or aguero gets injured in this pointless game it will be solely down to the manager's stuborness.
