The end to all your problems.

Also buy a good quality badger hair shave brush and quality shave soap or cream. Always ex-foliate pre shave. Never shave against the grain on the first pass of the razor. Post shave always use a alum block to soothe the skin and always moisturise.

Bin the fucking crap multi-blade cartridge razor!

Save your skin and save a fortune as well.

This guy knows the dance, you may cut on your first shave if you are used to this smooth shit, but then you will never look back.

Is that like the one the barber uses on the back of your neck?
Do they work better than a normal razor?

They work like a dream mate. Heavyweight razor that needs to be treated with respect at first. The weight of the razor does the work and you just let it slide over the skin without putting any pressure on. Single double edged blade means that you are not having to dig in to the skin and reduces in growing hairs.

Not only will you start to enjoy shaving, it will save your skin and a fortune instead of having to buy those crap and expensive cartridge razors.

Typically a pack of 5 double edge razor blades will cost you around £3 online. Dependant on your beard growth, you will easily get between 3 and 5 shaves per blade.

I'm becoming convinced...Will I still need to shave as often? I (need to)shave every day for work - will I still need to with this?

After keeping it at bay for a good few months it's flared up again after shaving a couple of days ago I think I didn't leave long enough between shaves...I've been using King of Shaves Alpha oil and it's really good!

Any way of getting it to go down a little, take away some of the redness, for tonight?

I used to get a bad shaving rash but i found the solution. Just use an electric shaver everyday (i use a Philips triple headed shaver) and have a couple of wet shaves (bic double blade sensitive) a week to pick up on stray hairs. That keeps me looking smart and well groomed with minimum effort.

Minimum effort as i keep the dry shaver on the computer desktop and just have a quick 1 minute shave a day while reading Bluemoon. Also as i keep the hair right down with the electric shaver when i have a wet shave its really fast as their isn't much to shave.

Hard to say without knowing how tough or strong your beard growth is.

Trick is to do a 3 or 4 pass shave. First pass is with the grain. Second pass at a slight angle against. 3rd pass at a slight angle the other way and then for a baby smooth finish, lightly against the grain on the 4th. Plenty of shave foam and bobs your uncle.

Only downside is you need to set aside 20 mins but you will learn to enjoy shaving correctly, your skin will look the dogs, especially on a night out.

A good 4 pass shave will see me ok for 2-3 days without a problem and im a hairy fucker lol.

Give it a go, you wont look back.
