Because people are far less likely to buy records sung by the son of a plastic gangster and rapist (Not only a rapist but a man who raped an elderly pensioner.). Or the son of a woman who thinks its acceptable to be figting on the streets of Manchester at nearly 50, Attacking security and police aswell.

Not doubting that some of his family are well known to the law, but I don't think it has much to do with his lack of progress at this stage. An earlier poster mentioned the op that he has had to have....surely that has more to do with it?

Yes, I'm not disagreeing that the family connections are unfortunate......but I really don't see how that has hindered his career as such.

Oh, and would just like to add for the record....my Dad served time because of some of his "friendships" at that time (this was forty years since), but distanced himself pretty quickly when he got out. Just so nobody thinks my Dad is wrapped up in anything dodgy!
