Shearer & Francis

Re: Shearer & Francis Nobs

Souness is usually ok. Just got carried away after that palace game in terms of his liverpool loyalties and the fact they had just blown the title.

Re: Shearer & Francis Nobs

It was quite funny watching Shearer yesterday. We put in a complete performance and one in which any pundit would be hard pushed to find faults.

He went on about the penalty that was blatant and then odds and sods however no attempt to give an opinion on the control we had of the game, our dominance our desire from the off to win the game, how we killed it off with ten men, champions response, absolutely no observations. These are all points that he negatively and constantly makes against us when we put in a performance that is not worthy of a team who have spent..........

Any one of a number of observations that he could have made, just decided to basically contribute as little as possible in the face of such a performance. Best way to shut them up i suppose.

COME ON CITY

These guys are so biased against us, Shearer will not give this team any respect at all. He slates us at every opportunity and will not look at us or anything we do on the field in any positive light at all.

He is constantly wanking himself over Chelsea, it is not only nauseating but so tainted that it is a real displeasure watching the fella (unfortunately I only have the option of BEIN, Dubai). I had a semblance of respect for him due to his goals record however even taking into account his rather low IQ there is frankly no way I will continue to listen to his shit.

Even on Aguero, he is brilliant (given), then there is a tirade of how the squad worth hundreds of millions is letting Aguero and us down, we should be doing this and that in the CL (how would he know?), given the money spent ........... Never a mention of the £175m+ the scum have spent or Rodgers £100m and current form or Spurs £105m and still crap, it is all about slagging City off.

Enough Shearer, FUCK OFF !!

And on Trevor Francis, what did we ever do to this bloke, you think he would have some loyalty or reserve given he was a City player, however he is a close second to Shearer. These 2 watch the matches specifically to slag us off. After the come back against Bayern you could see that they had a tirade ready, a wealth of observations ready to stick the boot in when Aguero's heroics cut their balls off. They were palpably pissed off that we had pulled it off. They could not bear to give us any credit at all, it was painful for them to comment.

I call a spade a spade, these 2 are taking the piss. These are not professionals they are everything that is bad in sportsmanship. Souness, Lineker, Gary Neville even give an honest opinion on what is before them, they 2 deserve to be sacked.

Thanks had to get it off my chest.
It took me five minutes of wondering who "Francis Nobs" was before i got what that thread title meant ;) haha!

People like that are just not worth taking any notice of at all. If Gary Neville, a player i absolutely despised because of his proper ratty Rag attitude and antics when he was a player, can be a professional and balanced pundit then it speaks volumes for how bad people like Shearer are. Listen to the way Carragher lays into Liverpool without hesitation and how balanced he is about other clubs. He called City a "massive club" without a hint of irony yesterday. Could you ever imagine Shearer saying that about us?

He's a bitter drip who has this stinking attitude of thinking his personal (excellent as they are, and i used to really have respect for him for being in the top 10 all-time English league scorers) goal scoring achievements makes him this king of football. He said, during the 2012 Euros, that Balotelli hadn't achieved anything in his career, even though at just 22 he'd won more than Shearer did in his whole career. After that i will never take any notice of anything Shearer ever says!

Plus all this "he done well" "he did a great corner" "they won Cheslea last time out" bollocks he talks like is just pathetic for someone representing our sport on the tele. Totally thick, totally inept...total wanker!

I don't get to hear Francis much, but I agree about Shearer.

I also agree about the others mentioned. Gary Neville can put aside his passion for United and the antipathy for City that naturally comes from this for a Manchester based fan, and be professional, and gain respect for his views. So why can't others? I think it has something to do with intelligence.

Paul Scholes can't hide his dislike of City, but to his credit, I think Phil Neville is trying to emulate his brother in his fledgling career in punditry.
According to a lad in the car park after the Bayern game, Scholes was up celebrating the Kun winner last Wednesday!

Trevor Francis was one of my favourite players when I started supporting City .
Now I cant stand him .
Another muppet who plays to the tune of Murdoch .

I also believe that he (Francis) applied for the Maine Road manager's job back in the 1990's which he obviously didn't get so that also could have something to do with it?

wonderful player, outstanding in fact. a shit manager though.

Would have fitted right in then in the 90s!

Whereas I understand that Alan Shearer loves his home club & they were absolutely battered yesterday, I honestly expected that he would say something complementary about City given the quality of the goals. But not a bit of it. He simply ranted & raved about the performance of his beloved Newcastle accusing them of not pressing once in the whole game. He must have spent a lot of time doing something else after his disappointment of the first minute.

Despite some prompting from Gary Lineker to compliment City's performance he simply refused to do so & stuck to belittling his home club. A little odd given what happened when he was in charge of them.

I had a lot of respect for Shearer as a player - probably the best striker this country's ever produced (in my lifetime) but as a pundit he is completely hopeless. His analysis is sketchy & simplistic but worst of all he cannot be objective.

He clearly hates City with a passion; encapsulated at the end of the discussion when (in sheer desperation) Lineker said at least it's good for the neutral thet City closed the gap to 5 points at which point Shearer said nothing but pasted the most false smile I've ever seen on his face.

I wonder what we did to him? Not 1976, surely!
