Where does all this Rooney being likened to Messi stuff come from? It's not just Shearer. It's like the country has a collective blind spot regarding some players, and as soon as the press start bigging them up, everyone else falls into line. Shrek is a good player, very good on his day, but that is all!

By the way, I'm not a Rooney fan, so my opinion is biased!
