I hope Wednesday can become a PL side again, but they need to upgrade the stadium.

One of my beefs with the whole Hillsborough thing is that nothing was ever done to remove the bottleneck around the Leppings Lane turnstiles that caused the crowding that resulted in the gates being opened. It had been an issue for years before the disaster and when we went there for the Cup tie in 2007 it was still a problem.

Really pleased for my Wednesdayite mates - they have suffered a lot (far more than we did with three trips to the Third Division) - and besides have a spot for both Sheffields as I lived there for years.
Mandaric did a great job spending just enough to get them up to the 2nd division and keep them there but it's about business for him. Good luck to the Owls except against us of course. Hope they get back up to the top flight. I'd much rather fight them for the title than Arsenal, Liverpool, The filth and even Chewwsey.

When I first started taking an interest in football in the early '70s, Wednesday were one of the giants of English football and even in the early '90s big enough to be a founder member of the Premier League.

So it would be good to see them back in the top flight.
