This "Phillips isn't good enough" narrative is getting tiresome. It's the same shit most of our signings get when they don't rip it up in their first season.
Not saying he's gonna be a world-beater but give him a bit more time.
I would normally be the first to agree but the Phillips situation feels different.

Also pep was playing him in the stones role and the lad was getting caught out and causing us trouble at the back. With the change in system and no fullbacks it’s no surprise his game time has reduced. I wish Lewis was a Lb.He’s a young lad who was in a rich vein of form

I know what you mean and I like the lad, but the chatting coming from the few in the know isn’t the same as it was for Jack last season (which was they’re happy with him and give him time), it’s very much in the balance whether or not he’s still here come September 2nd.This "Phillips isn't good enough" narrative is getting tiresome. Shame as I like the lad but he’s not adjusting very well and doesn’t appear to be impressing Pep at the campus.
