Sheffield Utd (A) post match thread

I don't get Pep sometimes, he moans that we should have 5 subs due to the number of games, and then only uses 2, and none till 80 minutes.

Didn't play well really, but again failed to take numerous chances, and/or made too many poor decisions in and around the the box.

I can't say with any certainty but maybe given what happened to Fernandinho, Pep's looking to avoid making any subs he doesn't absolutely have to on the day.

I've noticed Pep doesn't like making changes when the game is undecided or the opponent is having a purple patch. He seems to want the team to get through it, get back on top, and then he'll make the changes.

Good 3 points but the performance doesn't look right.

I didn't know why Mahrez is playing over Foden and why Pep keeps playing Rodri.

Walker deserved that goal for his outstanding performances.

Ferran looked great playing the false 9 due to his runs and timing.
Because Phil will definitely start on Tuesday and you can`t expect a 20 year old to play 2 games in 72 hours.

If you’re being serious you might as well walk away now.

I suspect you’re on the wind up though.

Isnt it about time Ric and moderators sorted these knobs out ? Why give them a platform its glaringly obvious who the sad closet Rags and Dippers are , genuine City fans on here have arguments and fall outs and ive had my fair share , but can we get rid of the timewasters and talk about football instead.

Breathe!!!

Players like Raz, Kyle etc who have been playing non stop, even Bernardo (who, theoretically, should feel fresher than others yet struggled to reach 90'), need rest desperately...

Late subs reflect Pep's insecurity to change the balances, we needed fresh legs earlier...

It's a complicated season, not sure some people actually understand this. It will be a challenge for everyone involved, the team will need all the support it can get. For a certain period, we will be unable to reach our true potential, therefore we will be tested mentally. Seriously tested...

Once again, opposition was ahead in terms of fitness, nevertheless City's superiority was never questioned (the story of the season so far). The team stayed calm and mature throughout the match, but should have killed the game earlier...

Congratulations to Pep and the boys, special mention to Kyle, a key player for City these days...

PS. Karen my Karen, confirm there were no injury issues, please!

Good win that.

Frustrating not to score a 2nd but we are without Aguero and Jesus.

Last season we would have drawn that so was good to grind out a win.

Dias and Laporte are just excellent.

Walker motm. Don't know how some don't rate him. He's been a rock since he signed for us.

First half great Sterling unplayable, Torres looked good as a center forward, big physically presence. Walker great as was Laporte and Diaz.
Second half all about game management , saving energy etc. Bernardo came more into the game as did Rodri. King Kev pulling the strings
