2-0 City. I think they won’t do anything except defend for their lives.
If we play with the same fluidity that we did v Baggies, we will win well.

4-0 City, the Blades won’t be able to hold our attack from all directions, they are just not good enough this season, add City starting to go through the gears and a side in poor form with low moral into the mix..

Nothing is ever certain these says and any team in the PL can beat another on a given day but I’m starting to feel very confident every time we play, not had that previously this season, all the signs are City are on the march and woe betide anyone who gets in our way ...!

Will be down to how we go about putting our chances away. Got a narrow win at theirs and against WBA we actually only had 7 shots on target despite our dominance but put 5 away. We saw what happens when we miss chances galore in the home game v West Brom and also Brighton where we were fortunate to get 3 points.
Hopefully we still have our shooting boots on

I think that was more about conserving energy in the 2nd half than not being able to put them to the sword.

To be fair on West Brom, they didnt park the bus, they tried but we were so much better. I respect teams that try. We have taught so much to the premier league. So many teams now try to adopt our style but dont have Pep to guide them beyond the goalkeeper passing to a defender.
Every time I get on the tube in London I can not but help sing to myself, mind the gap, mind the gap man utd !!
Sheffield will park the bus sadly.

Even though they have improved recently they’ve still looked poor defensively.

provided the team carries on with their way of playing it would take some bad luck to end up not winning

Sheffield are quite fortunate they had such an easy midweek fixture. Allows them to rest up and conserve energy before playing us this weekend

The Title Race

We are half way through our season and it's all about counting down now ... 19 games to go ... and over those next 19 we keep an eye on our rivals as well ... as it stands we're seven points clear of Liverpool ... why is that better than six (or five) ... because seven means we need to screw up in three games now (vs two if it was six points) for them to catch up on us while matching our results for the other (16) games ...

No, I'm not going to mention United or Leicester here as title contenders ... because I don't consider them title rivals (at least not just yet). And not sure why anyone would be worried about them two (especially United) ... we all know why the media is big-ing them up, so let them ... what everyone seems to be forgetting is that they both are in Europa League and have two extra ties coming up in February and March as opposed to other title rivals who are in the Champions League ... wait till Thursday nights kick in and they get the Thu-Sun schedules in, then we'll see how they navigate those.

Thing about being in Europa League isn't the extra couple of games ... or playing on Thursday nights that puts a team off is not the no. of days gap in between games ... as that is exactly the same as Wed-Sat ... it is the fact that they then inevitably end up playing last in every gameweek, either on Sunday or even Monday nights because they have played on Thursday ... this just makes them always be in a chasing position against their other title rivals as they never get to play first and put any sort of pressure by putting points on board first ... this is why I’m not worried about them at all as far the title race is concerned at this stage. If they manage to keep up for another nine or ten gameweeks (which I doubt they will) then we might take them seriously in the final stretch.

Told you not to worry about them two ;)

Leicester’s dropped points tonight = 2
Man United’s dropped points tonight = 3

Now don’t worry about Sheffield United on Saturday either ... they’re not going to win twice in a row, especially two away trips to Manchester ... they’ve used up their quota of all the luck and worked themselves into ground tonight!

Sheff Utd and Burnley, no longer gimmees incredible result for the Blades tonight and our game with the Clarets a clash of two teams bang in form.
